Low-cost insulin is coming to California pharmacies.

Starting January 1, 2026, CalRx Insulin Glargine pens will be available statewide at a price of no more than $55 per five-pack. Developed in partnership with Civica, this product is interchangeable with Lantus® and aims to expand access to affordable, life-saving insulin for Californians.

***SVPhA Student Scholarships Applications are Open until December 1st, 2025!***

SVPhA is pleased to offer student scholarships, which support the education for aspiring pharmacists. Information on the student scholarships is presented below.

Student Scholarships: If you are a dedicated student pharmacist who contributed to the community and organization, please submit an application by 11:59 PM December 1st, 2025. A single application process will be used to select recipients for the $750 SVPhA Student Scholarship and the $1,000 Tom Nelson Memorial Scholarship. Please use the blue button below to apply for our scholarships. Student scholarship recipients will be notified in February of 2026 and presented their scholarships at the annual SVPhA Crab Feed on March 14th, 2026. Attendance at the Crab Feed is required to receive the scholarship.
