Our first-ever Pathways to Possibilities Resource Fair was a huge success! 🙌
This event was designed to guide young adult patients and their caregivers through the transition to independence. Patients and families connected directly with agencies, support networks and specialists, gaining valuable insights to ensure a smoother transition and enhanced quality of life. 💝

When Julia was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic scoliosis at age 6, her parents faced a daunting reality: her 39-degree S-curve threatened to progress rapidly if not treated immediately.
Today, thanks to the care she received from Shriners Children's Northern California's orthopedic spine team, she is thriving. 💝
Julia recently graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) with a degree in pre-med public health and is now applying to medical school. Her goal is to become an orthopedic surgeon, driven by a desire to give back the same way Shriners Children’s gave to her family. 🫶

Happy National Nurse Practitioner Week! We are thrilled to celebrate our incredible NPs, like Kywaita! 💝

“Growing up in a family of seven and working as an 'unpaid employee' at my mom's daycare, I was surrounded by children from an early age," she said. "Their resilience, ability to find joy in tough times, and unfiltered openness left an impression on me, which is what drew me the pediatrics.
Working at Shriners Children's began as a prayer that has since become my reality. With the opportunity to serve these precious humans, I lead with trust building, relationship focus care. As we all know, reasoning with a Bluey loving six year old isn't easy if they don't trust you.
It's been a joy to be a part of a team that gives every child the best care possible, no matter their background, culture, or circumstances."

This , we are celebrating the heart and soul of our mobility mission: our incredible Shriners Children's Northern California Transportation volunteers!

Our Volunteer Services Manager Bonnie says it best: "Every day, our Shriners Transportation volunteers make a world of difference for children and families across the region. These compassionate individuals go the extra mile—literally—by providing safe, reliable rides to and from the hospital. Their kindness helps ensure that no child misses care because of transportation barriers."

From door-to-door service to airport pick-ups, our volunteers are the friendly faces that ensure families can focus on what matters most— their child's care. We are so grateful for their generosity of time and spirit. 🚗💝

A round of applause for our incredible Great Catch recipients! 👏 We recently celebrated these amazing team members with a special luncheon for their dedication to keeping our patients safe.

At Shriners Children's, patient safety is our top priority. Our Great Catch Program honors staff who identify potential safety events before they reach a patient. Every "catch" is a powerful moment of vigilance and care.
