Ideal candidate characteristics are:
*Must Reside in City of Sacramento city limits
*Minimum of high school diploma
18+ years old
*Strong foundational computer or IT skills
*Own or have full-time access to a laptop and WiFi (accommodations can be made)
*Some college courses or Associate degree in STEM
*Some work experience is helpful but not a requirement

WHAT IS YOUR COMMITMENT

*Program runs from Oct 19—Dec 18
*Participate Monday—Friday, 8am to 5pm
*To master concepts through interactive activities and real-world collaborative projects
*To develop a career plan and profile
*To network with other cohort members
*To meet with your mentor weekly

WHAT DO YOU GET
*Nationally DOL Approved Registered Pre-Apprenticeship Program consisting of 320 Hours of Training
*Access to Cybersecurity or Infrastructure Support Program
*Synchronous virtual instruction applied in a technology-assisted online platform
*Career Counseling and an Industry Mentor
*$350 Certification Exam Voucher
*Earn College Credits

Cyber Proud Sacramento is partnering with Woz Enterprise, a division of Woz U to offer no cost enrollment in a nationally Registered Apprenticeship Program to serve selected candidates that reside within the City of Sacramento. This is made possible through a CARES Act grant provided by the City of Sacramento.

How has 2019 been treating you? I have been reflecting back on all the changes that have occurred so far this year and the new unexpected challenges that continue to arise. I'm curious, when forced to adapt, restructure and compete, are we ever prepared? We know change can be uncomfortable but it is inevitable. During these next few weeks I will be exploring the intersections between passions and the ever changing landscape we live and work in. As I seek to expand the reach and impact of my efforts, what are some insights that I can learn and share that will help propel us to the next level. What challenges or changes will force us to adapt? How should we prepare now to be ready for the future? Exciting times coming in 2020! Are you ready?

▪ Sacramento gained about 6,680 millennial residents last year, making it the third most-popular landing spot for millennials.
▪ Among Sacramento college graduates, about 53 percent have STEM degrees.
▪ Sacramento ranked No. 6 among small tech markets out of 50 major markets in North America.
▪ The region leads the nation in terms of women-founded businesses.
