January 2026 WISE U Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Training Applications are Here! 📝

Start the new year by turning your lived experience into a career in peer support and mental health advocacy. 💬

This free, full-service training offers:
🎓 80 hours of live and independent peer-led instruction
🧩 6 months of career mentorship and placement assistance
💼 Access to the Peer Job Portal and professional membership

🗓️ Training Dates: January 20 – February 2, 2026

Applications for our December WISE U Cohort are open!

Our Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Training is a free, full-service program designed to help you turn your lived experience into a meaningful career in mental health and peer support.

Training Details:
📅 December 8–19, 2025
🕘 Live Zoom sessions: 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM
🧠 Independent work: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM (4 hours)
💻 80 total training hours

Some Post-Course Benefits Include:

- 6 months of career mentorship and placement assistance
- Access to the Peer Job Portal
- Membership with the California Association of Peer Professionals

Cal Voices’ ACCESS California program is on the road for our 2025 Behavioral Health Transformation Workshop Series. Register while there’s still spots available at our Costa Mesa event!

Join us for a powerful, peer-driven workshop exploring California’s Behavioral Health Transformation through the lens of a Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist (CMPSS). We’ll dive into topics like advocacy, ethics, and the community planning process, equipping Peers with tools to lead change in California’s public behavioral health system.

Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialists will earn 6 Law and Ethics Continuing Education training hours upon attendance of the entire training.

🗓️ Dates & Locations:

10/16 – Costa Mesa (Register by 10/6)

⏰ Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (breakfast at 8:30 AM and lunch break at 12:00 PM)

💵 Registration: $50 (includes breakfast and lunch)
