We offer a family centered 3 step program that supports and educates the entire family.

On this day, we honor our tiniest fighters and highlight the systems that impact their care including EMTALA, a federal law that requires hospitals to provide emergency care to everyone, regardless of insurance.

For Black mothers, this law is life-saving, ensuring you cannot be turned away during pregnancy-related emergencies like preterm labor, severe pain, or bleeding. But systemic barriers still exist, and too often Black moms face delays or dismissal in care.

Knowing your rights can make all the difference. 💜

Imagine the stories they can’t wait to tell their new siblings!

Today is NICU Sibling Support Day! 🌟

We honor the amazing brothers and sisters of NICU babies who walk their own journey of love and patience 💕 Their strength and support are a vital part of the NICU story, and today we celebrate them.

Tips to Support NICU Siblings:
1. Keep them included – Share age-appropriate updates about their sibling’s care so they feel connected, not left out. They can also show pictures they made or read a book to the baby.
2. Validate feelings – Remind them it’s okay to feel sad, scared, or even jealous at times. All emotions are valid.
3. One-on-one time – Spend special moments with siblings to reassure them they are just as loved and important. (we would watch a good movie at home for quality family time)
4. Encourage expression – Give them space to draw, write, or talk about their experiences with the NICU.
5. Celebrate milestones – Involve siblings in celebrating progress, big or small, so they can share in the joy too.
