We are excited to announce that we are officially launching a movement community with

The “E-Motion Approach” embraces the belief that coping is a muscle that CAN be built over time. It recognizes that grief is endless; it moves and changes over time. We honor grief’s power and seek to increase an individual’s capacity to cope, so it matches or exceeds an individual’s level of grief.

This spring cohort is for parents who have lost a child and it starts April 30th!

⭐️Fill out the interest form in our bio if you are curious and if this group is right for you.📋

E-motion is starting over 60 cohorts around the country this spring!

We will start another cohort for general loss in the fall in Elk Grove as well.

Our spring cohort will walk a little over 3 miles at a beautiful park in Elk Grove and then have a culminating experience in July when we walk the Davis Moon Walk 5k in July!

Threads Of Remembrance~ Holding Their Story in Every Bead

Tuesday, March 24th

5:30-7pm

In this creative arts workshop, participants will design and bead a personalized bracelet in honor of a loved one who has passed. Through intentional color selection, symbolic charms, and thoughtful bead patterns, each element will represent a memory, a personality trait, a shared experience, or a meaningful detail that still lives in your heart.

As you are guided through the beading process, you are invited to recall the textures of your memories — their laugh, favorite colors, hobbies, sayings, music, places, and the small, sacred details that made them who they were. This is not only an art class; it is a structured space for remembrance, storytelling, and connection.

Participants will leave with more than a bracelet. They will carry a wearable piece of art — a tangible symbol of love that endures beyond loss.

Each bracelet becomes a quiet companion: something you can touch in moments of longing, celebration, or reflection. A reminder that while life changes, connection does not disappear.

No prior art experience is required. Materials and guidance will be provided.

At the time, we had no clue what to do, what not to do, who to hang out with, or what was coming next!

We felt confined and fearful of what the future would bring…sound familiar?

But as we look back at what was a scary time, we can see all the hidden blessings between the blurred lines of loss.

We were all grieving normalcy and navigating the unexpected.

When you look back at your own confidence experience, what stands out to you?

What were you grateful for?
What did you lose?
How has it changed you today?

Our Walking Wellness Group explained:

This group is a gentle, intentional space for anyone navitating loss. We gather to move our bodies, spend time in nature, and connect with others who understand that healing is not linear-and that it doesn’t have to be done alone.

Grief can be profoundly isolating. Walking with others fosters connection without requiring anyone to share more than they’re ready to. Research shows that activities such as walking helps regulate the nervous system, decrease stress hormones, and improve emotional processing. When the body is in motion, the mind often feels safer to open.

This is not about “fixing grief”. It’s about creative a supportive environment where healing can unfold naturally-one step, one breath, one connection at a time.

Next walk, tomorrow at 9am!
