It’s National Health Center Week and this year we’re celebrating 60 years of impact! Across the country, community health centers will be honoring and celebrating their transformative impact on our nation’s health, their dedication to innovation, and their vision for an even healthier more equitable future!
Today is Staff Appreciation Day! that employ over 310,000 staff across the country – including over 3,700 at our member health centers here in the East Bay alone. Together, these providers and allied healthcare professionals are the backbone of our safety net delivery services for our most underrepresented communities.

What a great day! 🥰

This past Saturday, YCCA held their 10th Annual Back-to-School Resource Fair. Your YCCA staff showed up bright and early to get this event ready for the community. There was music, food vendors, organizations tabling with fun activities, school supplies being passed out, and most importantly, there were plenty of smiles.

We want to thank our partners Washington Unified School District and Washington Unified Community Schools for helping us curate this annual event.

We would also like to thank all of our vendors for joining us in making this a day to remember. Our sponsors for making sure we could put on the event of our dreams! Our volunteers for gifting their time to helping out and be a part of. All those who came and donated supplies to a local drive through Quirina Orozco's school supply drop-off event, or the West Sacramento Recreation Center for hosting a drive for the month of July.

YCCA is constantly reminded of how inspirational this community is with events like these. Because we all continue to show up together. This weekend, kids left with more than just resources, backpacks and school supplies. They left with the opportunity to feel ready and confident for whatever the school year has in store. That alone, is why we do what we do.
