Fascia is connected from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet. It meanders, uninterrupted, inside, over, and under bones, muscle, ligaments, vessels, organs, and down into the cellular level at the liquid or energetic form. Trauma, stress, accidents, injuries, repetitive movement, surgery, scars, prolonged improper or sedentary body position can cause the fascia to bind and tighten. It tightens more over time. The binding of the nerves within the fascia is felt as pain. The areas of the fascia knotting no longer get the adequate oxygen and nutrients that it requires. Further pain is felt. Restrictions in range of motion is noticed. I use Myofascial Release ( the John F. Barnes Approach ), Craniosacral Therapy, and Orthopedic Structural Massage to help the body release these restrictions, to help bring health, oxygen, and nutrients back to the body and to open back range of motion. (That's why you feel good, feel relaxed, feel at ease when you're done) The Myofascial Release usually continues to work for weeks following the session. Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, and and Orthopedic Structural Massage are safe, gentle, and long lasting methods. I use them to help the body release pain and stress on my clients. With a history of stress, abuse, or trauma, the emotions becomes embedded in the body at the cellular level and remains there, surfacing at times, creating havoc in the person's life and relationship's, until it is released. Besides physical releases, Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy helps to release the emotional trauma at the cellular energetic level. Post Traumatic Stress can be relieved.
