✨ I had the pleasure of attending the Dental Association’s 102nd Presidential Inauguration & Scholarship Gala in Sacramento. For over a century, the NDA has opened doors for Black dentists and fought for oral health equity in places where it’s needed most — and that feeling of legacy was unmistakable throughout the event.
Congratulations to the NDA’s 102nd President, Dr. Wallace Bellamy, whose theme, “Architects of Change,” calls on us to lead with intention and build a future that strengthens both our profession and our communities. His message reflects a vision that is both forward-thinking and deeply grounded in service.
More than $104,000 was raised to support NDA programs and initiatives, and what stood out most was the organization’s commitment to the entire dental team — honoring pre-dental students, hygienists, and dental assistants alongside dentists. The focus was not just on leadership, but on inclusivity, mentorship, and advancing every pathway into oral health.
The celebration also included continuing education led by dynamic speakers, creating space for learning, connection, and renewed purpose.
