Oh, what fun! ❄️✨ Scenes from our North Sacramento Family Resource Center Winter Wonderland holiday event last weekend. Families had a blast—from the photo booth and photos with Santa, to multiple arts-and-crafts stations and a yummy chocolate pudding fluff bar! Huge thanks to for lending us your amazing space, to Microsoft for sponsoring the event and volunteering your time, and to all of the wonderful volunteers who helped run the arts-and-crafts stations.🎄💛

🎄Thank you to the wonderful team at Rescate Coffee for participating in our Holiday Giving Program for nine years! Your enthusiasm and dedication to supporting children and families in our community is truly inspiring.

This year, they set a goal to fulfill 125 holiday wishes—and went above and beyond by fulfilling 140! Thank you for helping make the season brighter for so many children. ✨

Here are a few ways we're celebrating the holidays at the Sacramento Children’s Home this week.🎄✨

💚 Over the weekend, our Family Resource Centers hosted festive holiday events for the community, filled with arts and crafts, photos with Santa, and holiday gifts.

❤️ Tomorrow, we’ll continue the celebration with our annual Christmas breakfast for the children in our Residential program. Each child will receive new shoes, bikes, video games, clothes, and toys.

💚 Through our Holiday Giving Program, caring supporters have helped make holiday wishes come true for thousands of children across our region. And program staff are currently distributing gifts for families to open just in time for Christmas.

❤️ These joyful moments—and the memories they create—are only made possible through the support of our generous community. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making these holiday events possible!

We’re so impressed with Mercy, a St. Francis High School student who started volunteering with us during her freshman year at our Holiday Giving Program donation drop-off center. While volunteering, she noticed a need for more culturally diverse dolls—and took action!

Her effort is now called Dolls for All, and over the past few years, Mercy has helped raise funds to purchase diverse dolls and action figures for donation to the Sacramento Children’s Home Holiday Giving Program. We’re so grateful for her dedication to helping all children feel seen and included.❤️💚
