Get all your health clearances taken care of at once outside the hussle and bussle of a dog show! Board-certified cardiologist Dr. Brett Boorstin and board-certified ophthalmologist Dr. Sydney Edwards will be available for cardiac and CAER OFA exams. Drs. Shelby and Christensen will be on hand for all orthopedic, thyroid, BOAS, and DNA exams. Any male dogs may also schedule a semen freezing appointment for the same day. Avoid sick or injured pets during this happy time of year. Sweets, in general, can cause gastrointestinal upset, especially those containing chocolate. A little taste of your holiday meats may not be a big deal, but just a bit more than a little can cause gastrointestinal upset in some sensitive tummies and, worst case scenario, pancreatitis. Secure all trash containers so that discarded food is inaccessible to pets. Tinsel is a temptation for chewing and ingestion, which can easily cause gastrointestinal obstruction and perforation. Most holiday plants (holly, mistletoe, and poinsettias) are toxic to pets. Place all candles well out of reach of any wagging tails and curious cats to avoid burns and fires. Glass ornaments should be well out of reach of pets to avoid being knocked off and broken. Pets love to play around, under, and in trees; secure them from falling. Kokopelli had a wonderful weekend at the Lake Drake Cluster Dog Show in Woodland 🐾✨ Dr. Christensen with his Puli, Dr. Shelby, and our staff member Renae all enjoyed presenting their dogs in the ring 🐕🏆 We were also proud to see so many of our clients showing and to connect with those who stopped by the collection tent for services.
