Atman is pleased to host Brittany of Living in Bliss for a special breathwork event!

Brittany is a Soma breathwork facilitator and will be leading us through an evening of movement, deep breathing, meditation, and sound bath.

Saturday Feb 7th, 6-8 pm at Atman Healing and Wellness, 1515 19th st suite 200 in Midtown Sac.
Admission is $40 for non-members, $25 for Atman members, early bird tickets $25 before Feb 1st.

This is the year to commit to YOU. It’s time to start treating yourself like someone worthy of being cared for - body, mind, and spirit.

No one can take care of you like you can. They can’t do the things for you that lead to true health and wellness. And if you don’t choose yourself, you are going to be the one who suffers.

Do you hurt after working 10 hours sitting in a cubicle under fluorescent lights? After sleeping 5 hours and fueling up on eggo wafffles and more coffee than water? Only exercising once in a blue moon?

Good. You SHOULD hurt. It’s your body telling you exactly what you need to hear.

Pain is our body and mind telling us that something is wrong. Sometimes it’s a ruptured appendix or blown out ligament. More often what it’s telling us is our lifestyle is dysfunctional. Sitting all day should hurt, being over caffeinated and under hydrated should feel awful, and not sleeping enough should be miserable because we need to know when we are self-sabotaging.

Love yourself, love your mind and body, and listen to it when it’s talking to you. It knows what you need more than you realize.

Resistance training is not optional! We supplement our functional movement training at Atman with kettlebell work to build whole-body functional strength! A bit of my own lunch-break kettlebell workout today. Full workout below!

3 rounds total:
- clean to goblet squat x8
- Farmers walk x200 feet
- Kettlebell switch push-ups x8/side
- Pull-ups x8
- 1/2 kneel curl to press x6/side

Finish with brisk 10 min on the fan bike!
