UC Davis Emergency Medicine Residency Program Emergency Medicine Residency Program

The UC Davis Emergency Medicine Residency Program is an ACGME-accredited 3-year training program located in the heart of northern California. With a unique blend of clinical care, simulation, and formal didactic teaching by world-class faculty, residents gain expertise in the management blunt and penetrating trauma, resuscitation, cardiovascular emergencies, toxicology, point of care ultrasound, pediatrics, and research. Trainees balance their training between UC Davis Medical Center (a university-based, urban level 1 trauma center) and Northern California Kaiser Permanente (a managed-care, community level 2 trauma center).

It’s Doctoring Time!
What advice do you have for our interns class?

We start all our residents with 1 month in the safety of our home department. Reduced shifts and double coverage allow time to get oriented to and settled into Sacramento. Time to hang out and bond!
