The holidays are here, and so is our annual 3fold challenge: see how much food waste we can avoid this season.

We've had the chance to work with some great clients on waste reduction and recycling campaigns, and honestly? It's made us all a little more thoughtful about what ends up in the trash. So this year, we're putting what we've learned into practice.

The plan is simple: plan meals before shopping, store food properly to keep it fresh longer, get creative with leftovers, share surplus with neighbors or local pantries, and compost whatever is truly unusable. Small steps, real impact. Want to join us? Let's see what we can do together this holiday season.

One of our favorite things about working with is getting to reintroduce people to the places they think they’ve already figured out. Case in point: , a true OG of California comedy that’s still packing the house and spotlighting voices you’ll be bragging about discovering years from now.
It’s places like this that remind us why the Waterfront is such a gem. Personality, character, history, and the kind of unexpected experiences that make you say, “Oh wow, did I know this was here?”
And because they captured it perfectly, a big shoutout to our friends at for their feature on Sacramento’s comedy scene, including this Waterfront classic. Check it out below.

Help us welcome Zoe, the newest addition to the 3fold team!
Zoe has a talent for bringing structure to complex initiatives. Whether coordinating statewide partnerships or guiding large-scale public programs, she keeps teams aligned and momentum steady.
Her journalism and digital engagement background give her a sharp sense of how information travels and how to make sure everyone gets what they need when they need it. Zoe is the person who translates complex plans into clear action and makes collaboration feel easy.
We are so happy to welcome her to 3fold and excited for the clarity and impact she’ll help deliver. Welcome aboard, Zoe!

People searching for recovery resources are often alone and unsure where to start.

We helped Recover LA meet them where they are: online, with clear pathways to support. The campaign reached more than 7 million Los Angeles residents and drove record traffic to RecoverLA.org.

More people found the help they were looking for.

Ever wonder why you default to sitting in traffic when there's a train running all day between Sacramento and the Bay Area?

Most of us drive because we always have. We're working with Capitol Corridor to change that default, reminding people that train travel means arriving relaxed instead of road-raged, especially during high-traffic times like Thanksgiving.

Nobody wakes up excited to think about wastewater infrastructure. But everyone notices when it fails.

The Sacramento Area Sewer District - SacSewer manages the systems that keep our region functioning, dealing with aging pipes, population growth, environmental regulations, and the reality that infrastructure funding is always competing with more visible priorities.

We're helping SacSewer uncover the stories that make invisible infrastructure visible. People care about wastewater when they understand what's at stake.

What does it look like when regenerative medicine moves from "someday" to "today"?

We explored this question with Institute for Regenerative Medicine for their 2025 Annual Report, moving past statistics to find the Californians whose lives are being changed right now by stem cell therapies. The kind of advances that seemed impossible a decade ago.

Building long-term client partnerships. Having productive conversations when perspectives differ. Creating work that drives real impact without burning out your team.

These are the things that separate good agencies from great ones. They're also the things nobody teaches you how to do.

Next Wednesday, our VP of Client Services Carolyn Hopkins-Vasquez joins some of Sacramento’s leading women in advertising at EmpowHER to share what they've learned doing this work.

Real experience. Real insight. November 6, 5:30–7:30pm at Futures Explored. https://tinyurl.com/y7x5dcby
