POV: You finally stop putting lipstick on a pig 🐷 and start actually supporting your body 😏💃🏼

Most people you know?
YES… they are already using peptides. They just don’t talk about it.

This isn’t about trends.
It’s about adding another layer of support to what you’re already doing; nutrition, movement, all the “right things”… and still wondering why your body isn’t responding the way it used to.

Here’s the part nobody says out loud:
It’s getting harder to find quality options.

And when it comes to something you’re putting IN your body…
I’m not cutting corners to save a couple dollars 💵.
✔️ provider-reviewed care
✔️ quality sourcing
✔️ pharmacies that are actually held to a standard
✔️ something I don’t have to second guess

Because guesswork IS NOT wellness.

If you’ve been doing all the things and still feel stuck…
this might be the layer you didn’t know you were missing.

Curious? You know where to find me 💌

You do NOT have to worry about me…😌💅because we have been doing peptides ethically the whole time ❤️

While the internet is spiraling over peptides this week… 👀🍿

Yes 🙌 you are probably seeing headlines and conversations (including Robert F. Kennedy Jr.) talking about how powerful these compounds are and whether access should change.

But here’s the part people are missing 👇

We didn’t just suddenly find peptides yesterday.

I’ve been doing this the provider led, medically supervised way the whole time.

As a registered nurse and affiliate with EllieMD:

✨ I connect you to licensed providers
✨ They review your individual health intake
✨ They decide if you’re an appropriate candidate
✨ And ONLY then, if it makes sense, will they prescribe a client a medical grade peptide(there are denials 🫰)

From there?
Your prescription is filled through a regulated compounding pharmacy which is responsible for testing the compound for purity, strength, and is:
-sourced in the USA 🇺🇸
- verified

So while the conversation is catching up…
This model? It’s not new.

This is how it’s supposed to be done.

Not DIY
Not guesswork
Not ordering your BAC water so you can mix your random not pure powder 😅

Just real providers +real oversight + real accountability

And if it costs a couple bucks more?
That’s the price of knowing exactly what you’re putting in your body 👏 (P.s. it’s less than your daily Starbucks)

Msg me PURE if interested 💉 🌶️

Ready to clutch those pearls??

NOT ALL peptides are created equal… and what you’re putting in your body matters.

As a nurse, that’s not something I take lightly.

There’s a difference between
“research grade” online purchases 👀
and
physician-guided, regulated, quality-controlled care.

Transparency matters.
Sourcing matters.
Oversight matters.

Because at the end of the day,
this is your body… not a guessing game.

Peptides can be a tool,
but they should always be used with intention, education,
and the right support behind them.

If you’ve been curious, overwhelmed, or just want to understand what’s actually out there, I’m here for that conversation 🤍

If you’re a woman in perimenopause or menopause quietly researching GLP-1s and feeling like,
“there’s more to this than what Instagram is saying…”

You’re not wrong.

As a nurse, I’m watching this conversation unfold in real time, and it’s not just about weight loss.

We’re talking about:
• insulin resistance
• inflammation
• cardiovascular risk
• hormonal shifts that change how your body responds to everything

And here’s the part people aren’t talking about enough 👇

There’s emerging data (including a 2026 Mayo Clinic look at postmenopausal women on tirzepatide) showing:
👉 women using GLP-1s andHRT saw close to ~20% body weight changes
👉 compared to ~15% without HRT
👉 essentially closing the gap with premenopausal metabolism

Translation?
Your hormones and your metabolism are not separate conversations.

They’re the same system.

And when you address both?
That’s when things actually start to shift.

Now, before we get dramatic, this is still evolving science.
These are observational findings, not final randomized trials (yet).

But clinically?
It aligns with what many of us are already seeing.

And instead of having real, educated conversations about it…
we’re still stuck debating if it’s “cheating.” 🙄

Respectfully… that’s not the conversation.

The real conversation is:
👉 what’s actually happening in the body
👉 how do we support it safely
👉 and how do we use these tools alongside nutrition, strength training, and lifestyle, not instead of them

Because no, these ARE NOT shortcuts.
They’re signals.

And when your body hasn’t been hearing the right signals for a long time?
Sometimes it needs support to respond again.

Don’t be shy, I’m right here ❤️

I know you’ve got questions about peptides…
(and maybe a few insecurities too, it’s okay)

That’s literally why I’m here.

As a nurse, I partnered with a provider-led telehealth company that:
✔️ connects you with licensed professionals
✔️ uses medical-grade, triple-purified, third-party tested peptides
✔️ USA-sourced
✔️ based on YOUR medical intake and IF approved

So no guessing. No sketchy “research” stuff.

Just real guidance, real support, real options.

Also… yes I did just finish a workout 💁‍♀️
and yes this is me with my CLEAN BCAAs as a microphone

Grateful for the opportunity to spend time with such an incredible group of women today at the eWomenNetwork Lodi chapter.

A special thank you to Shannon Marie Stallings for creating such a beautiful, intentional space. The way she guided the room, through meaningful transitions, connection, and conversation made it easy for everyone to feel supported, seen, and able to both network and work through real-life challenges. That kind of environment is truly something special.

I left feeling inspired, grounded, and genuinely appreciative of the time spent together. There is so much value in spaces like this where women can come together, share, grow, and support one another.

I’m looking forward to learning more and hopefully joining again soon especially with an upcoming speaker event at Papapavlos that sounds too good to miss on April 16th (now to see if I can rearrange my schedule 😏).

Thank you again for the warm invitation, so grateful to be connected and excited to stay in the room.

POV: You think you’re just tired… but your nervous system has been in overdrive for years.

As a nurse, I see this all the time, especially in midlife.

The fatigue.
The “I can’t keep up like I used to.”
The constant push to do more, be more, hold it all together.

It’s not just age.

It’s a nervous system that’s been stuck in survival mode for too long.

When we live in chronic stress, our body stays in a constant “fight or flight” state, keeping cortisol elevated or the later very large high/lows.

And over time, that’s not harmless.

✨ Research shows:
• Higher stress hormone levels are linked to a ~63% increased risk of cardiovascular disease
• Chronically elevated cortisol is associated with higher risk of cardiovascular death
• Long-term stress can increase blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and inflammation, all major drivers of heart disease
• It also disrupts sleep, metabolism, and even impacts brain structure, memory, and mood over time

In other words… your body keeps score.

And here’s the hard truth:
Slowing down can feel harder than pushing through.

But if we don’t intentionally build in regulation,
rest, presence, breathing, connection…

our bodies will eventually force us to.

Because nervous system regulation isn’t just “self-care”…

It’s how we:
✔️ lower stress hormones
✔️ support heart health
✔️ improve metabolic function
✔️ create new, safer baseline patterns in the body

Sometimes healing doesn’t look like doing more.

Sometimes it looks like this 🤍
(wiffle ball in the front yard with my kids)

What’s one way you’re being intentional about slowing down?

Okay but full circle moments like this… 🥹 ❤️

Dr. Lara and I go WAYYYY back, UC Davis days, early 2000s, volunteering at Clinica TepatĂ and serving uninsured communities together.

And now?
We’re both in our own lanes, me as a nurse, her as a dentist and fitness powerhouse 💪
…coming back together again in this space.

It just hits different.

She is the definition of beauty, brains, discipline, and drive, and I am SO excited to be doing this alongside her.

So well deserved. And we’re just getting started 🔥

Got my referral over the weekend… 🙄
Ordered in February. For a partial calf tear.

And by the time it came through… I didn’t even need it

As a nurse, I respect Western medicine, truly.
But navigating it? Insurance, delays, wait times… it’s not always simple.

I’ve done the traditional rehab route before (hi frozen shoulder 🙃)
and this time I chose something different, a provider-led approach that aligned better with my timeline and life.

Outcome?
Back in the gym 💪
No missed work
Feeling strong again

Here’s something interesting happening in the peptide space right now…

Some of the websites selling “research only / not for human consumption” peptides are starting to shut down.

And honestly… that’s not surprising.

What many people don’t realize is there’s a huge difference between:

• Research peptides sold online
vs
• Provider-guided telehealth programs

The program I work with focuses on:

✔️ Provider oversight
✔️ Health intake and review
✔️ Regulated U.S. compounding pharmacies
✔️ Pharmacies in Palo Alto + Texas
✔️ Statewide telehealth access
✔️ Ongoing support
✔️ HSA / FSA eligible options

Education matters when you’re making decisions about your health.

If you’re curious how the telehealth process works, comment “INFO” or send me a DM and I’ll walk you through it.

If you feel like you’re doing everything right… but your body still isn’t responding the way it used to, this might be why.

One of the biggest myths many are told about health is this:

“If you just try harder, your body will respond.”

Eat cleaner.
Work out more.
Drink more water.
Sleep more.
Be more disciplined.

But here’s what we’re finally starting to acknowledge in medicine and integrative health:

Biology changes.

✨ Hormone signaling shifts
✨ Inflammation can increase
✨ Recovery slows
✨ Muscle becomes harder to maintain
✨ Metabolic signaling changes

And willpower alone can’t override physiology.

You can be doing all the “right” things:

Eating well.
Lifting weights.
Walking daily.
Prioritizing sleep.
Managing stress.

…and still feel tired, inflamed, hormonally off, or stuck.

That’s not a failure of healthy living.

Often it means the communication systems inside the body need support.

This is why many of us are exploring therapies that support cellular signaling and metabolic pathways, and including peptides.

Not because lifestyle stopped mattering.

But because sometimes the body needs help responding to lifestyle again.

This isn’t about shortcuts.

It’s about understanding physiology.

The future of health isn’t natural vs science.

It’s both.

And if you’ve been doing everything right and still feel like something isn’t clicking…

You’re not behind.

Your body may just need the next layer of support.

✨ Because when the body starts communicating better, everything else you’re already doing finally starts working again.

So I’m curious…

Have you noticed any non-scale wins when your metabolic health starts improving?

Better sleep?
Less inflammation?
Better recovery?
More stable hormones?

Because those are often the first signals that something deeper is shifting.

One thing I believe deeply as a nurse is this:

No one is coming to save our health.

Not doctors.
Not medications.
Not the newest trend on the internet.

Our health is built daily through the things that are often the least glamorous:

Movement
Nutrition
Sleep
Stress management
And supporting our hormones and metabolism.

For most of my adult life, that’s exactly how I’ve approached my own health.

But like many women, my health story hasn’t been simple.

Over the years I’ve been given diagnoses many women quietly live with:

PCOS
Adenomyosis
Infertility
Autoimmune-like symptoms
Thyroid fluctuations
Idiopathic arthritis
Migraines
Lipedema
Raynaud’s
Chronic inflammation
* All of which I refused meds for and managed or lessened my symptoms with natures best medicine, quality food and movement.

Hence, I’ve always tried to support my body first through lifestyle. And added other modalities along the way.

But as a nurse who reads research, I’m also open when new science starts pointing toward helpful tools.

Recently there’s been growing discussion about GLP-1/GIP therapies like tirzepatide and their effects beyond weight, including metabolic health, inflammation, and hormone regulation.

After reviewing the literature, I decided to try a 6-week trial of tirzepatide paired with B12 support.

What surprised me wasn’t weight change.

It was the systemic shifts.

• significantly less uterine cramping
• no breakthrough bleeding
• more regular cycles
• deeper sleep
• noticeably less inflammation

Sleep especially caught my attention.

When metabolic signaling improves, particularly insulin sensitivity and inflammation, we often see improvements in circadian rhythm and restorative sleep.

And when sleep improves, hormones often follow.

After years of irregular cycles, I finally found something that helped my body regulate again.

To be clear, this isn’t medical advice.

But it’s a reminder that women’s health is complex, and sometimes supporting metabolism can have ripple effects across hormones, inflammation, and sleep.

Sometimes the most meaningful progress isn’t the number on the scale… when your body finally starts feeling better again.
