Want to get out after our recent snowstorm? Irish, or not, put on some green and come to the museum this afternoon 2:00-3:30 pm. Local historian Elaine Johnson will tell stories of the houses on 6th and 7th Avenue in Sacred Heart - only 4 houses at the west end of Sacred Heart. Enjoy refreshments made special for St. Patrick's Day, including a best spinach artichoke recipe on chips, mint brownies, roll-ups, and more. Bring friends. The event starts at 2pm.

The storm windows for the north side of Hotel Sacred Heart will be installed next week along with the windows and doors. Thank you for helping on a very warm day!

The Summerfest Bake Sale is back! Come early to the Sacred Heart Community Center for best selection. The Bake Sale starts at 9:30am and ends at noon Saturday, July 19. Proceeds support the Sacred Heart Area Historical Society projects.

We have several events planned for Sacred Heart's Summerfest 2025 celebration.

Museum is Open July 16-20 (Wednesday-Sunday) 1-4 p.m. Come for refreshments and see the improvements we have made to help you find and enjoy family history.

Parade is July 18 (Friday) 6 p.m. Our float features The Sacred Heart Area Band performing a few of their favorite songs, including the school anthem.

Bake Sale on July 19 (Saturday) 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the Community Center will have pies, cookies, bars, cakes, muffins and more. Proceeds support the historical society’s projects.

Cemetery Walk on July 19 (Saturday) 10-11 a.m. Hear the history of the City Cemetery and stories of several people buried there. Meet at the City Cemetery. Contact Elaine Johnson for questions. The City Cemetery is located alongside Trinity Cemetery, on the left side toward the back. Take Hwy 212 to 160th St. Turn south on 160th and go about 1 mile. Free will donations are appreciated.

We're taking out the last two HOTEL storm windows at 1:30pm today and could use another person or 2 to help lift them out. They are the center picture windows and the wind has been blowing. The job should take 20 minutes or less. We have the supplies/tools.

The museum will be closed today. Volunteers are at Hotel Sacred Heart from 1-3pm today, removing storms/screens on the front, main and 2nd level. We appreciate your help to complete the work in 2 hours.
