So grateful for our volunteers! 💙

Last week, we proudly celebrated with several special moments honoring the incredible volunteers who support Mease Countryside Hospital every day.

One highlight was a wonderful volunteer appreciation lunch at Kobe Steakhouse, where we enjoyed spending time with more than 100 amazing volunteers.

Each April, National Volunteer Week reminds us just how powerful service can be — and our volunteers are a true example of that. They generously give their time, talents and hearts to care for our patients and strengthen our hospital and community.

To every Mease Countryside volunteer: thank you for your kindness, compassion and selfless dedication. We are so grateful for you and all that you do. 💫

We recently gathered at Calvary Catholic Cemetery for a Perinatal Remembrance & Bench Dedication, honoring babies lost too soon and surrounding families with compassion, understanding and community. 💜🕊️

Thank you to Calvary Catholic Cemetery for generously donating this meaningful bench near the burial plot, which serves as a final resting place for the remains of early pregnancy loss. This quiet, peaceful space offers families a place to sit, reflect and feel close to their loved ones, and stands as a lasting symbol of remembrance, love and comfort.

Families were joined by members of our health and spiritual care teams from the BayCare hospitals where they receive care, who were there to listen, support and gently remind families they are not alone. Through shared moments of reflection and prayer, we stood together in tenderness and support.

We are grateful to everyone who gathered with us and made this such a meaningful moment. Your presence and love were deeply felt.

We're celebrating a very special milestone at Mease Countryside Hospital today — Irwin is turning 101 years young! 🎈🎂

When asked the secret to living a long life, Irwin shared, “Luck has a lot to do with what happens to us in life, and I just got lucky. I had a good wife, a good job, good kids and a good family.”

What a beautiful reminder of what truly matters. 💙

Innovation in Action 🤖

We’re celebrating a major milestone for our surgical teams at Mease Countryside Hospital!

Our team has recently begun using our newest robotic-assisted surgical technology — bringing even more advanced, minimally invasive options to the community we serve. 👏

Led by Dr. Ted Small, with the support of Hospital President Kelly Enriquez and our dedicated surgical teams, this technology enhances precision, safety, and efficiency in the operating room — helping us deliver exceptional care, close to home.

With this addition, Mease Countryside Hospital now offers three robotic-assisted surgical systems, supporting 19 specially trained robotic surgeons and caring for more than 100 patients each month.

Last year alone, our teams completed 1,159 robotic-assisted procedures with excellent safety outcomes.

✅ Less pain and trauma
✅ Faster recovery and shorter hospital stays
✅ Many procedures with same-day discharge

Last weekend, baby boy Henry made his sweet debut at 6:12 p.m., weighing 7 lbs. 9 oz. 💛

Born on Easter Sunday, Henry was joyfully welcomed by first-time parents Jessica and Frank — a holiday they’ll never forget. 🐣

💙 BayCare is bringing proton therapy, the most advanced treatment available for cancer, to West Central Florida, centrally located in Tampa.
