The hardest part of my prison sentence, was the effect it had on my family.
Someone asked me if I got triggered when I went in.
And I said no. But when I saw a family leaving visitation, and boarding a tram, it affected me.

I know how hard it was on my family to come see me and have to drive away without me. Especially Terry and Bryden.

All the while I’m playing VB, making brownies, and living my best prison life.
Ya prison sucks but it’s all about mindset and being miserable is a choice right?

Thats why reentry is so important. Thats why I travel to prisons all over the state and recruit people to the second chance programs. To give them a better shot at success.

So their family can have them back. And if they don’t have a family….so they get out and have the opportunity to create one.

Reentry starts before release.
So thank you to DOC for giving me the opportunity to be a second chance recruiter.

Thanks Convicted Comeback for allowing me to reach more people and help the ones who aren’t releasing and to share The Light with so many more people.

Thanks to Arouet for always including my programs and Graham County in all your events.

First issue of The Light 2026.
I'm calling it “The Light Unplugged."
Not going to lie, l'm crying right now. Just a few tears.

I continue to be amazed at my life, and The Light.
It's not a rebrand. The Light was never a brand to begin with.

It's something lived. Not packaged.
So what you see here isn’t a new version, it's a stripped down version.

We have so many cool, meaningful, INTENTIONAL things coming up this year.
We are starting out intentionally simple.
And just going where god leads us.

The Light now goes into prisons, rehabs, and jails all over the U.S.

If you are Cheryl Armstrong, you get your M.A. in humanities, Launch Plant your energy, and write a book.

Then after that upon release, you develop a program that goes into Colorado Prisons.
You believe no one is their worst mistake and guide people into what’s actually possible!
