A new ethics policy paper from the American College of Physicians (ACP) published in Annals of Internal Medicine says the term ‘provider’ should not be used to describe physicians, and using the blanket term undermines physicians’ ethical responsibility, clinical integrity, and professionalism. Referring to physicians as providers reduces the patient-physician relationship to a transaction and does not recognize differences in roles, responsibilities, and training among health care professionals: https://f.mtr.cool/yrdqdiqcmx

PCOS or painful periods ≠ infertility.

What it often means is that we may need to take a closer look at your cycle, symptoms, and timing to create a thoughtful plan moving forward.

We’re here to help you understand your options and your timeline, whenever you’re ready 🩵

Getting an “abnormal Pap” result can sound scary, but most of the time, it doesn’t mean anything serious.

It simply means we saw cell changes on the cervix that may need a closer look or follow-up. A lot of these changes are common (and often related to HPV) and many resolve on their own.

The most important thing? Don’t panic (and don’t ignore it). We’ll walk you through exactly what it means and what the next step is for you.

You’re not alone in this. We’ve got you.

This year we’re prioritizing appointments we keep rescheduling 👀

And if the OBGYN is one of those… we get it. It can feel intimidating, awkward, or like “I’ll do it later.”

We know the OBGYN isn’t everyone’s favorite place to be. So we do everything we can to make it a good experience — calm, comfortable, and genuinely supportive from the second you walk in.

If it’s been a minute… consider this your reminder ✨

Let’s normalize teens feeling comfortable visiting the OBGYN.

Because the first visit can feel awkward… until you realize it’s literally just a place to ask questions and learn about your body.

Here are 5 things we want teens to know (and yes, parents — this is for you too):

→ You can come in even if you’re nervous.
→ You can ask anything.
→ You can talk about symptoms that feel “TMI.”
→ You’ll never be pressured to do something you’re not ready to
→ You’ll always feel safe + supported here.

The goal of teen care isn’t to be scary or uncomfortable; it’s to create a relationship with a practitioner who can answer questions, explain what’s normal, and help your feel empowered in your health.

We’ll always meet you with kindness, privacy, and zero judgment 💗

Not to be dramatic but… we love hearing your life updates. 🥹

The “I’m getting married!”
The “I’m going on vacation!”
The “I’m starting a new job!”
And even the “I’ve been overwhelmed lately…”

Here, you’re never “just a patient.” You’re a person — and we’ll always care for you that way.

We get this question all the time, and the answer isn’t a simple yes or no.

For some people, birth control can make a real difference, especially when acne is hormone-driven. For others, it may not be the right solution at all. What matters most is understanding what’s actually driving your breakouts.

If acne has been affecting your confidence or quality of life, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Today is World Lichen Sclerosus Awareness Day.

Vulvar lichen sclerosus is a chronic skin condition that affects thousands of women, yet it’s often misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or brushed off for years. Many women are told their symptoms are “just irritation” or something they have to live with.

They don’t.

LS is not contagious, not caused by anything you did wrong, and not something to ignore. With early diagnosis and proper care, symptoms can be managed and long-term complications reduced.

If this post helps even one woman recognize that what she’s feeling isn’t normal, it’s doing its job.

Awareness leads to answers. And answers lead to better care. 🤍
