This week marks Children’s Mental Health Week 2026, and it’s the perfect time to explore how Reiki can empower children’s well-being.

This year’s theme is 'This is My Place', with the aim to support the systems around children and young people to help them feel they belong.

As both a Reiki Practitioner and a parent, I have witnessed first-hand the incredible benefits of Reiki for children. With four kids of my own, Reiki became a daily practice in our home, offering comfort, balance, and support during the ups and downs of childhood.

Reiki wasn’t just something I “did” for them, it became a way of life in our family. Over time, my children learned to recognize their own energy and even use simple self-Reiki techniques.

Here are some of the benefits that I love about sharing Reiki with children. We go into more detail on our blog, covering everything you need to know about running Reiki sessions or workshops with kids, from preparation to techniques and ethical considerations.

On December 18, the Moon and Mercury align perfectly in the night sky, offering a rare and serene spectacle. The Moon, glowing softly with its silver light, reveals its craters and surface features clearly. Just beside it, Mercury shines brightly, a small, vivid world, its disk clearly visible and glowing against the dark backdrop of space.

This beautiful alignment will be visible to the naked eye, especially just after sunset or just before dawn, when both celestial bodies hang together in the deep, dark sky. Their proximity and brilliance create a peaceful yet striking visual, a reminder of the countless cosmic connections that form the fabric of our universe. 🌙✨
