Commemorating First Responder
Mounted Deputy Nichole Shuff

Harrison, MI– Mounted Deputy Nichole Shuff succumbed to injuries sustained four days earlier when the horse she was riding fell as she responded to a medical call at the Clare County Fair. She passed away on July 29, 2022. She was getting off her horse to render aid to the citizen when the horse suddenly lost its footing and fell back. Deputy Shuff suffered a serious head injury as a result.
She was kept on life support so her organs could be donated. She was 33 years old.
Deputy Shuff had served as a volunteer deputy with the Clare County Sheriff's Office for two years. She is survived by her husband.

Services were entrusted to the care of Campbell Funeral Home, in Farwell, MI.

Saginaw Wilbert Vault Corporation, Saginaw, MI., was honored to provide the family a Stainless Steel Triune® burial vault with a Treasured Tribute image, along with a graveside service.

To my team : You all are my Hero’s and I couldn’t be more proud of all of you. You have worked non-stop since March missing your family dinners/time just so we can give family’s the final goodbye to there loved one’s. I know you are all tired and there are some days we feel like we are drowning. But I know together as the awesome team you are, we can get through this.

If you see my team on the road, honk your horn and wave! If you see them at a cemetery, from afar, give them a chin up.

Be safe everyone and please wear your masks, wash your hands and keep your distance, as i know, your loved ones do not want to see any of my guys while there working!

Full setup service for an out of town family and funeral home!

When the call came in and they requested 25 chairs, we thought how the heck are we going to get them there and set it up. Well our guy as always made it happen. We also received two different calls, saying how extremely happy everyone was with our level of service!
