MDHHS is excited to offer new and expecting parents, as well as professionals who work with families across the state, the chance to attend a free virtual baby fair. The virtual events will be held on December 2 and December 3. We encourage you to share this opportunity widely with any families, organizations or groups that may benefit from attending.

They will have an opportunity to learn about available resources, important health and safety information and can ask experts questions.

The Saginaw County Health Department (SCHD) will be hosting a Walk-In Clinic this Monday, November 17th, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Maple Grove Senior Center.

💉 Services Available:
▪️All routine vaccinations, including Flu (ages 6 months & older), RSV, and COVID-19
▪️Glucose and cholesterol screenings

SCHD participates in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.
Uninsured adults may be eligible to receive select immunizations through the Adult Vaccine Program, including COVID-19, flu, and pneumonia vaccines, for the administration fee only (must meet vaccine-specific criteria).

We accept Medicaid, Medicare Part D, and select commercial insurances, including (but not limited to):
Aetna, Blue Care Network, Priority Health, ASR, and some HAP and Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.

In honor of Veterans Day, our offices will be closed today, November 11th. We will reopen for regular business hours on Wednesday, November 12th.

MDHHS has directed its EBT vendor to once again begin uploading full November benefit payments for SNAP recipients. Those who normally receive benefits on the ninth of the month will receive them within 48 hours, and all others will receive them on their normally scheduled date.

♻️ Sharps without medication can be placed in a puncture-proof container (such as a laundry detergent bottle), clearly labeled “Sharps” and disposed of in your regular household trash
