Meet Dr. Kuhn and explore our Bariatrics program!
From education to long-term support, our team is here to help patients take the next step with confidence.

Meet Dr. Kuhn! Dr. Jason Kuhn, DO, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified bariatric surgeon at our Bariatric & Metabolic Center. He specializes in advanced minimally invasive and bariatric surgery, helping patients achieve lasting health and success. Dr. Kuhn earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. He completed his general surgery residency at St. John Macomb/Oakland and fellowship training at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgery, and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Kuhn enjoys spending time in the gym and supporting his daughter in her extracurricular activities. If you see Dr. Kuhn around, ask him what book he is currently reading!

Big news for the Great Lakes Bay Region! 📰

Covenant HealthCare will break ground next month on a new, state-of-the-art Orthopedics facility in Saginaw Township. The 25,700-square-foot center will bring comprehensive outpatient orthopedic care together in one convenient location — expanding access to advanced musculoskeletal services close to home.

The new facility will also feature Covenant OrthoExpress, one of the region’s only orthopedic-focused urgent care centers.

Construction begins soon, with an anticipated opening in summer 2027.

We are proud to recognize Logan Meyers, NP as the February 2026 Provider of the Month – Advanced Practice Provider (APP)!

Logan joined the Covenant Medical Staff in December 2019, and has been American Academy of Nurse Practitioners–certified since September 2018. Known for his attentive, compassionate care, Logan consistently goes above and beyond for patients, listening carefully and addressing concerns promptly.

Here’s what patients have shared about Logan:

We are proud to recognize Paritharsh Ghantasala, MD as the February Provider of the Month – Physician!

Dr. Ghantasala joined the Covenant Medical Staff in May 2020, and has been American Board of Internal Medicine–certified since 2017. As a dedicated member of the Hospital Medicine team, he is known for his collaborative approach, clear communication, and deep commitment to both patients and care teams. His willingness to listen, explain, and support—both at the bedside and behind the scenes—makes a meaningful difference every day.

Here is what his colleague and patient shared:

• “Dr. Ghantasala is always willing to listen and assist with issues—not just with patients, but also with processes that affect the behind-the-scenes staff who support the process of getting a patient discharged.”
