Our service area covers over 6,000 square miles and over a half million residents. Annually, MMR provides nearly 73,000 transports, traveling over three million miles in our ambulances. MMR provides Basic and Advanced Life Support pre-hospital care and medical transportation services in the following counties: Saginaw, Bay, Arenac, Tuscola, Clare, Crawford, Isabella, Gratiot, and portions of Shiawassee, Genesee, Ingham, and Eaton, Wexford, Manistee and Grand Traverse Counties. Over 600 individuals are employed at MMR making up our family of heath care providers, mechanics, billers and administrative staff. Our staff members demonstrate MMR PRIDE through their behaviors, actions and attitude and are encouraged to become leaders at any level of the organization. We value the principles of PROFESSIONALISM, RESPECT, INTEGRITY, DEDICATION and EXCELLENCE. One of MMR's finest assets is our Education Department providing EMT and Paramedic training courses in several locations across the State. MMR also provides public first aid and CPR training. MMR is accredited by CAAS, the Commission on the Accreditation of Ambulance Services, considered to be the gold standard in providing quality care and operational excellence in the EMS industry. We have been CAAS accredited since 1997.

🚑✨ First Day, Big Energy! ✨🚑 A couple of weeks ago, our newest Saginaw Paramedic students kicked off their very first day with smiles and laughs, chalkboards in hand, and plenty of excitement to go around. It was the perfect way to break the ice and start building memories from day one. Paramedic school isn’t easy, but this crew jumped in ready to learn, support one another, and take on the challenge ahead. Even our instructors couldn’t resist joining the fun and stepping in front of the camera. Welcome to the journey, Saginaw Paramedic Class, we’re cheering you on every step of the way!

💙🚑Our West Division Paramedic Gabrielle and EMT Jazzmine get the opportunity to work together on the ambulance whenever schedules allow. Gabrielle also serves our community in another role within emergency services as a licensed PA-C. Even when they’re not on the truck together, they stay connected and continue to support and build each other up. Gabrielle shares, “It’s pretty special to see EMS from both sides. I choose to keep working as a paramedic because the prehospital side of emergency medicine is incredibly valuable.” Way to go, ladies! 🚑💙

Last week, some of our Instructor Coordinators, along with other team members, attended Special Pathogen Response Network (SPRN) training. While this training can be hands-on and engaging, it’s essential for those moments when it matters most. Having the knowledge and preparation to respond safely helps protect our crews and the communities we serve.

❄️🚑 Michigan winter has definitely been showing off lately, and working outside in nonstop snow is no easy task. Recently in our Northwest Division (Elk Rapids), Paramedics Bryant and Alicia stepped up in a big way to make sure our ambulances could safely get out of the garage and back in, while also keeping the drive clear for smooth shift changes. These behind-the-scenes efforts make a huge difference for our crews, and we cannot say thank you enough. As their coworker Jenna said best, “Above and beyond is an understatement.” 💙

The other day, our Saginaw Division Paramedic Connor and EMT Laura helped rescue several cats/kittens and two dogs from a house fire. We’re grateful to report there were no human injuries. Their compassion and dedication truly represent the best of our team, and we’re so thankful for the care they gave these furry family members during such a scary moment. This is what service looks like, stepping up for all lives, big and small. 🐶🐱 A huge thank you to the City of Saginaw Fire Department for the incredible teamwork, and a special thank you to Shadow 18 for capturing and sharing these powerful photos. 💙🚑

The circus was in town, and our Saginaw Division Paramedic, Alisha, was right in the middle of the fun! She got to spend some time with the Shrine Clowns, who happily struck a pose for a photo shoot. These moments make us smile!
