MMR’s state of the art medical communications center is responsible for dispatching services for six counties in our service area, including two air medical programs and flight following services. Our service area covers over 6,000 square miles and over a half million residents. Annually, MMR provides nearly 73,000 transports, traveling over three million miles in our ambulances. MMR provides Basic and Advanced Life Support pre-hospital care and medical transportation services in the following counties: Saginaw, Bay, Arenac, Tuscola, Clare, Crawford, Isabella, Gratiot, and portions of Shiawassee, Genesee, Ingham, and Eaton, Wexford, Manistee and Grand Traverse Counties. Over 600 individuals are employed at MMR making up our family of heath care providers, mechanics, billers and administrative staff. Our staff members demonstrate MMR PRIDE through their behaviors, actions and attitude and are encouraged to become leaders at any level of the organization. We value the principles of PROFESSIONALISM, RESPECT, INTEGRITY, DEDICATION and EXCELLENCE. One of MMR's finest assets is our Education Department providing EMT and Paramedic training courses in several locations across the State. MMR also provides public first aid and CPR training. MMR is accredited by CAAS, the Commission on the Accreditation of Ambulance Services, considered to be the gold standard in providing quality care and operational excellence in the EMS industry. We have been CAAS accredited since 1997.

It’s not just a transfer, it’s someone’s loved one. Our Northwest Division EMTs, Brett and Taylor, recently partnered with the Mayo Clinic air ambulance team to help complete a patient transfer. These moments mean so much... for the patient, their family, and their friends.. and we’re grateful to be part of the teamwork that helps make them possible.❤

You know that moment when you’re far from home and still run into someone you know? 😅 One of our friends at Detroit Fire Department had that exact moment when he spotted two MMR ambulances at Detroit Henry Ford. We’re everywhere… 👀 (Hi, Detroit 👋)

Potluck festivities, done right! Today, a large group of our teammates from different divisions and departments came together for some great food, plenty of laughs, and even better conversations. It was a chance to slow down, connect, and enjoy time together outside of the day-to-day. Full plates, full hearts, and lots of smiles all around. Moments like these are a reminder that our team is family.

Some stories don’t need words. Since August 2025, our Saginaw and Tuscola division crews have been able to administer blood in the field, bringing critical care directly to patients when minutes matter most. You may start to notice small stickers on some of our ambulances. Each one represents a moment where life-saving care was given… and a life was impacted. We’re so incredibly proud of our crews and the care they bring to our communities every day!

Our West Division Paramedic Supervisor, Julie, was relaxing on her day off when she got a message from a coworker (because she had left something behind): “Thank you for ‘dough-nating’ your donuts.”🍩 Safe to say… they did not go to waste. 😅 Judging by these photos, they were quickly claimed and thoroughly enjoyed, but now we have to know… did anyone save Julie one, or is she making a second donut run? 👀 Teamwork looks a little different around here… sometimes it’s just making sure no donut is left behind.😂

❤Did you know today is Medical Biller’s Day?❤ We sure did, and we made sure to celebrate them today! Behind every call we run, there’s a team working hard to keep everything moving, and our Medical Billers are a huge part of that. Their attention to detail and the work they do behind the scenes help keep our organization running every single day. We appreciate everything you do. We truly couldn’t do this without you!!!

We know St. Patrick’s Day has come and gone, but we couldn’t let this one pass without a shout-out! 🍀A huge thank you to our Northwest Division Paramedic Supervisors, Melissa and Leah, for going above and beyond by preparing a traditional Irish dinner for the crews working that day. From a full meal to the thoughtful little trinkets, they made sure everyone was well fed and taken care of. It’s moments like these that highlight the heart behind what we do and the people who make this team so special. Pictured (left to right): EMT Rylee, Paramedic Supervisors Melissa and Leah, and EMT Bailea. ❤

Who would like a free hug from Harry? 🐾🤍 Because we definitely would! Our Arenac Division Paramedic, Abby, shares Harry and his amazing self with everyone in the division, and we’re pretty sure he’s become the “unofficial” Arenac Division mascot! Miranda, one of our Arenac EMTs, was absolutely soaking up all the sweetness he had to offer 💙 We’re calling it now… Harry gives the best hugs around 🐶✨

This past Saturday, our West Division crew brought the fun (and the style!) to the Irish Fest 5K in Clare! 🍀🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️Paramedic Supervisor Julie, EMT Greg, and Paramedic Charlie showed up ready to go, and we LOVE the outfits! From Charlie representing in his uniform, to Julie rocking her amazing MMR St. Patrick’s shirt, to Greg absolutely stealing the show in his kilt… it doesn’t get much better than this! Even better than the outfits, though, is seeing our team come together outside of work, laughing, supporting each other, and making memories. Moments like these are what make our MMR family so special. Way to go, Julie, Greg, and Charlie! We are so proud of you! 💚
