🐢Saving the turtles, part 2! In our Northwest (Manistee) Division, EMTs Jazmyn and Taylor came across this tiny traveler, and we mean tiny, right in front of a parking bumper in the ambulance bay at Munson Manistee Hospital ER. They made sure he was okay, gave him a name (Ketz 🐢), and even shared a little breakfast break with him before relocating him to a nearby swamp where he could stay out of harm’s way. Just another small moment that made a big difference 💚

During the recent tornado warnings in Saginaw, our available Saginaw crews gathered at our main station to shelter, and in the middle of it all, Medcom Supervisor Carrie found a way to bring a little light to the moment. She called everyone over to her desk… for a quick selfie. It was a simple gesture, but one that shifted the atmosphere and brought a sense of calm, connection, and even a few smiles during an otherwise stressful time. Moments like these matter. ❤

🐢First turtle save of the year!🐢This little one was right in the middle of the road and needed a hand! Our West Division EMTs, Russell and Nicole, were quick to step in. They made sure he was safe and helped him get exactly where he (or she) was headed. Just a small moment, but a great reminder of the care our crews show in every situation, for our community, and even the tiniest members of it! ❤❤❤

We had a great time today at the Michigan HOSA State Leadership Conference in Traverse City! Our EMTs and Paramedics connected with students, shared what life in EMS looks like, and gave them a chance to get hands-on inside our ambulances. It was a day full of great conversations, curiosity, and a lot of fun. These students are the future of healthcare, and we’re always proud to be part of moments like this. Thanks to everyone who stopped by. We loved meeting you!

As we continue celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we wanted to share a couple of special moments from our Medcom (Medical 911 Dispatch Center) team. Our Medcom Supervisor, Trey, was honored with the Director’s Award, and our Communications Specialist, Annette, was given the Heart of Medcom Award. We are so proud of both of them and all of our dispatchers. The work they do every day matters more than most people ever see, and this week is just a small way to recognize the impact they have.

❤ Recently, our Genesee crew, Paramedic Tanya, Paramedic Student Ashlea, and EMT Bryson, were dispatched to a fire standby, where firefighters brought them a cat found unresponsive inside the home. Without hesitation, the crew provided oxygen and care, and soon, she began to respond. Her breathing improved, her pupils equalized, and she even let out a few small meows. Her family was able to see her and arrange transport to a local animal hospital. It may not have been a human patient, but it meant everything to that family. We are so proud of the compassion and care our crews show every day, and so glad Trixie is on the road to recovery! ❤
