Our service area covers over 6,000 square miles and over a half million residents. Annually, MMR provides nearly 73,000 transports, traveling over three million miles in our ambulances. MMR provides Basic and Advanced Life Support pre-hospital care and medical transportation services in the following counties: Saginaw, Bay, Arenac, Tuscola, Clare, Crawford, Isabella, Gratiot, and portions of Shiawassee, Genesee, Ingham, and Eaton, Wexford, Manistee and Grand Traverse Counties. Over 600 individuals are employed at MMR making up our family of heath care providers, mechanics, billers and administrative staff. Our staff members demonstrate MMR PRIDE through their behaviors, actions and attitude and are encouraged to become leaders at any level of the organization. We value the principles of PROFESSIONALISM, RESPECT, INTEGRITY, DEDICATION and EXCELLENCE. One of MMR's finest assets is our Education Department providing EMT and Paramedic training courses in several locations across the State. MMR also provides public first aid and CPR training. MMR is accredited by CAAS, the Commission on the Accreditation of Ambulance Services, considered to be the gold standard in providing quality care and operational excellence in the EMS industry. We have been CAAS accredited since 1997.

Lauren and Hailey made sure our Education Faculty member, Crystal, had a few extra photos waiting for her!

Hello, Ruby! ❤ She is part of our Medcom team (our 911 Medical Dispatch Center). While she technically belongs to our Medcom Supervisor, Carrie, when she comes to work with her, Ruby belongs to everyone! Miss Ruby loves greeting anyone who comes into the dispatch center and is always ready to share some love. She even comes to work in her own MMR uniform and has her very own pack and play. Our crew members love seeing Ruby and never miss the chance to bring her treats, especially her favorite… pup cups! ❤

Sometimes between calls, creativity strikes! 🎨 Our Saginaw Division EMT Addy and her partner decided to try their hands at being artists, and we have to say… we think they did an amazing job! A little creativity can go a long way during a busy shift. Nice work, you two!

Congratulations to our Mount Pleasant EMT students who graduated last week! They are now moving on to the next step as they prepare to take their NREMT exam. We are incredibly proud of the effort they put into this course and thankful for the instructors who helped guide them along the way. The future of EMS is bright with this group!

Recently, our Lansing Division Paramedic Supervisor, Brian, had the opportunity to speak with students at a Junior Achievement event. Sharing the journey into a career in EMS and what it means to help others during their most critical moments is something we’re always proud to talk about. Opportunities like this allow us to connect with students and highlight the many rewarding paths in emergency services. Way to go, Brian! Thank you for taking the time to share your journey and represent our team so well.

🫣Our Saginaw Paramedic student, Logan, was practicing IO placement during skills lab when things got a little disarming. Don’t worry, the mannequin has already made a full recovery!😁

❤Memories and friendships that last a lifetime❤ Our West Division EMTs, Alivia(L) and Jess(R), along with EMT Student Lyndsie (center), took this photo to remember a special shift. It was Alivia and Jess’s last weekend as permanent partners and Lyndsie’s final student ride. The friendships built along the way are one of the best parts of the job!

💙We recently hosted our first Community Paramedic Clinics in Saginaw at the East Side Soup Kitchen and the Saginaw Rescue Mission. It was a meaningful start to something we care deeply about, and we learned so much from the experience. Being able to connect with community members in this way, outside of a 911 call, is truly special. We’re proud to serve our community not just in emergencies, but by showing up, listening, and offering support where it’s needed most. This is just the beginning, and we look forward to continuing to meet people where they are and making a difference, one connection at a time. 💙

🚑 Our Saginaw EMT Academy kicked off on February 9th! 🚑 We started out with a little “First Day of EMT Class” fun, because even in a serious profession, it’s okay to laugh and make some memories! Huge shoutout to our students... and to our Instructors Gene and Mary for joining in, too! ❤️

Our Saginaw Paramedic students continue to put in the work, and it shows! 💪🚑 Recently, they began hands-on IV training, and yes, that means practicing on each other. It takes trust, teamwork, and a whole lot of focus to take that next step in training, and they rose to the challenge. We are so proud of their growth, their confidence, and the way they continue to show up for each other every single day. Keep it up! ❤

Recently, our West Division crews had the opportunity to train several CMU medical students through our MMR F.A.S.T. (First Aid Skills Training) course. This free community program provides hands-on training in life-saving skills like Hands-Only CPR and AED use, bleeding control, choking response, and more. We had a great time with this group and are proud to share practical, real-world skills that can truly make a difference. We’re looking forward to hosting even more community courses soon! ❤
