HAPPY HUMP DAY EVERYONE!
Seems like a perfect day for a "DID YOU KNOW?"

✨-Our mouths play one of the biggest roles in the human body. NUTRITION. How we create energy, how we heal, how we SURVIVE.

✨-But alongside that, our mouths are majorly complex. Each one of these taste buds contains about 50 sensory cells! The read of the tongue contains a row of extra large papillae (receptive cells), and each one holding 100 to 300 taste buds. It's quite insane.

✨-Your mouth is the first step in the digestive process. Your saliva is acidic and starts breaking down your food before you even swallow!

✨-Taste is 80% smell. Which is why some people are struggling with "Long Covid" and just have not regained their smell completely. So in turn, they lose the taste as well.

✨-You have the same amount of tastebuds now as you did when you were born!

Next time you weigh yourself, take this into account!

The skin is the largest organ in the human body. It accounts for so much that it's an entire system in itself! The integumentary system is your hair, skin and nails and is responsible for protecting our internal organs, while also maintaining body temperature and converting sunshine into vitamin D! Our skin is amazing and like i said, makes up for SO MUCH of us, we need to protect it so it can continue protecting us!
