Our Story
Tammie (Colburn) & Michel Consejo re-opened their practice, Healthy Minds: Counseling, Consultation & Education, in 2010. Tammie sold Healthy Minds to colleagues, with Michel retaining a share of ownership. Tammie founded Vermont Counseling and Training Center in October 2018. She will continue to provide counseling services, however, she is expanding her work in training and supervising other mental health professionals: Licensed Therapists, Therapists working toward licensure, and Interns. Michel will manage the practice. Tammie is a retired higher education administrator, professor and research assistant/contributing author/presenter; she worked in public and private colleges in Vermont and Massachussetts. Owning and operating Vermont Counseling and Training Center is a perfect blend of all of Tammie’s education, experience, talents and interests. Tammie has earned credentials in: a) MA in Clinical Mental Health & College Counseling; b) Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor; c) PhD in Education: Leadership for Higher Education; and d) Certificate: Basic Mediation. We look forward to serving clients at the ST. ALBANS office, and throughout Vermont via the confidential ONLINE videoconference system, Thera-link.
