Our very own Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Dana Barkley, has officially become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)! This achievement reflects a deep commitment to supporting infants, children, and families with evidence-based lactation care, compassion, and expertise.

With this dual certification, she will also collaborate closely with outpatient lactation consultants to provide seamless, wrap around care, ensuring families receive consistent support from hospital to home and beyond.

She is able to help with latch, positioning, oral tether tie evaluation, and monitoring of weight gain. From newborn feeding challenges to empowering parents with confidence and education, this expanded role strengthens family-centered care and continuity every step of the way.

✨Reintroducing Addie, our DULCE Family Specialist!✨

Developmental Understanding and Legal Collaboration for Everyone (DULCE) is a national model that uses a team approach in pediatric offices to promote healthy attachment and mitigate stressors in families with infants. The Family Specialist attends well visits with the medical provider from birth to six months to provide local resources, increase developmental understanding, and support parent-child relationships by building connections and reducing stigma.

Addie can help by providing information around developmental milestones, screening, and connection to resources such as local groups, lactation services, WIC, NCSS Parent Child Center programs, economic supports and so much more!

DULCE is offered in our St. Albans office in collaboration with Northwestern Counseling & Support Services and Addie is currently working with the following providers:

Happy New Year! As some of you may have seen in our offices or even here on Facebook, our team and patients participate in our star card boxes that we pull a winner from monthly.

Holiday Hours Update!

Our offices will be closed New Year’s Eve 12/31 and New Year’s Day 01/01.

Our Saint Albans office will reopen the following business day on Friday 01/02 but our Enosburg office will be CLOSED.

We look forward to seeing all our patients in the new year! 💫
