We're fans of Punxsutawney Phil at VCPI regardless of the forecast...but what about that 'other' kind of Groundhog Day? The one where you feel like life is stuck on repeat? Dr. King once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” On Monday, January 19, the MLK Day of Service is America’s opportunity to re-commit ourselves through service to one another and our communities. Join us in showing up for others by finding a volunteer opportunity in your community or online. Each United Way office in Vermont has a database of local opportunities: https://vermont211.org/what-is-the-united-ways-of-vermont?utm_campaign=meetedgar&utm_medium=social&utm_source=meetedgar.com

"Even if you’ve resolved your way to going to the gym twice a week, or stopped procrastinating, a new problem will soon emerge, or a variation on the old one...you might want to try a different approach: rather than trying to decree bad behavior away, investigate it." Learn how your personal New Year's 'investigations' may help make positive change more sustainable than resolutions from Joan Peters: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/transformative/202601/instead-of-a-resolution-a-new-years-investigation?utm_campaign=meetedgar&utm_medium=social&utm_source=meetedgar.com

Today is International Survivors of Su***de Loss Day, also known as 💙

For survivors of su***de loss, there is a unique and powerful comfort that may be gained by being in the presence of others who have experienced this complex type of loss. 🫂✨

Today, in-person events are taking place around the world, bringing su***de loss survivors together to gain understanding and support each other’s healing journeys. Some people attend every year as a way of honoring their loved one, checking in with themselves, and healthily recognizing the way their feelings evolve over time.

Join us today at 7pm EST for Live or find an event near you at afsp.org/survivorday
