Did you know that April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month? This is something that touches so many of our lives in one way or another. April is dedicated to raising awareness and continuing to strive towards treatment of the symptoms associated with Parkinson’s Disease!

At Choice PT we have 4 certified LSVT BIG clinicians ready to help you or your loved one!

From the LSVT website: “LSVT BIG is an intensive, effective, one-on-one treatment created to help people with Parkinson's disease (PD) and other neurological conditions address walking, balance and other activities of daily living (for example, writing, dressing and getting up from low chairs) or even job-related tasks.”

We have BIG news for people living with Parkinson's!

Choice Physical Therapy of St. Albans is pleased to announce we are able to offer our Parkinson’s community a new evidenced based treatment approach, the LSVT BIG program, at our practice. Our therapists, Leanne Blanchard, MS,PT, Kara Lumbra, PT and Amanda Duckett, DPT, are all certified as LSVT BIG providers and are ready to work with you today!

LSVT BIG is a standardized treatment protocol that is customized to the unique goals of each individual. LSVT BIG can be adapted or progressed to meet each patient’s needs across a range of disease severity and impairments. The goal of LSVT BIG is to restore normal movement patterns in everyday activities.
