You’re gaining weight.
But your diet is clean.
You’re moving your body.
You’re doing everything rightand it still doesn’t make sense.

Let’s break it down. 👇

1. Cortisol (your stress hormone):
When cortisol is high, your body holds on to fat, especially in the belly. Chronic stress signals “danger,” so your metabolism slows to conserve energy.
2. Estrogen & Progesterone:
When estrogen drops (or goes unbalanced), your body stores fat more easily. It also affects your mood, sleep, and cravings. Progesterone imbalance can trigger bloating and water retention too.
3. Thyroid Function:
Even suboptimal thyroid function can kill metabolism. TSH may look “normal” on a basic lab—but T3/T4 and antibodies tell the real story. If you’re cold, tired, foggy, and gaining weight? Your thyroid is suspect.
4. Insulin Resistance:
If your cells aren’t responding to insulin, sugar hangs out in the blood longer—and eventually gets stored as fat. Even “healthy” carbs spike insulin when hormones are off.
