Members of our staff were proud to attend the CHARACTER COUNTS! Middle School Awards Ceremony last month, celebrating students across St. Johns County for their outstanding character. United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties was honored to receive the Community Service Award in recognition of our ongoing investment in the lives of local students.

We extend our sincere thanks to Superintendent Dr. Brennan Asplen and the St. Johns County School District for this meaningful recognition and for their continued commitment to fostering positive character development in our community.

Investing in the future, one page at a time! ๐Ÿ“š

Last week, United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties proudly presented $47,000 to support literacy initiatives across Putnam County School District.

Thanks to the Delores Barr Weaver Legacy Fund at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, this marks the second year of funding in a three-year grant that will expand access to books, enhance classroom reading resources, and strengthen literacy-focused programs that empower students to succeed.

Together with Putnam County School District, we remain committed to building a community where every child has the tools to learn, grow, and thrive. ๐Ÿ’™

As Domestic Violence Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to highlight the incredible work of Lee Conlee House, Inc., a vital partner agency serving Putnam County and supporting survivors of domestic violence. ๐Ÿ’œ Their mission is to provide crisis intervention, emergency shelter, advocacy, treatment, prevention, and educationโ€”working to break the cycle of violence and empower individuals, families, and future generations.

We are proud to announce that $50,000 from United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties' Community Impact Fund will support Lee Conlee House over the next two years. ๐Ÿ™Œ This funding will help expand their programs, resources, and outreach, ensuring survivors have the support they need to heal and thrive.

โœจUnited, we stand with survivors and the agencies that make our communities safer and stronger every day.

Our team had the pleasure of volunteering with Feed the Need of Putnam County at their Teen Hunger Awareness Packing Event earlier this month, where teenagers and community members from across Putnam County gathered to pack 30,000 meals in just two hours. ๐Ÿ™Œ United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties was proud to serve as a T-shirt sponsor for the event. It was truly an incredible and inspiring evening!
