Oh, the rich whistle of a kettle and the scent of fresh muffins was the highlight of our Friday afternoon! Yesterday, our residents enjoyed a delightful tea party! 🫖

Between the floral china and the various selection of pastries, it felt like we had been whisked away to a high-end garden party! 👒 🫖

Special thanks to Jesse and Heather from Pinnacle Catholic Hospice Care for stopping by this week to host a festive crafting session. Together with the residents, they created beautiful, custom shamrock wreaths to get the manor ready for St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️

There is nothing quite like the first true "tease" of spring to wake up the soul! After a long winter, Saturday offered us the perfect excuse to trade the hallways for the great outdoors!!

Saint Benedict Manor thought it was a day for the senses:

The Sound: Listening to the return of the birds chirping their afternoon songs. 🕊️

The Feeling: The gentle, rhythmic glide of the patio swings. 〰️

The Sight: Bright rays of sunlight that—honestly—struggled to compete with the glowing smiles on our residents' faces. ☀️

Whether it was a quiet moment of reflection or a lively chat in the fresh air, the Vitamin D did everyone a world of good. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for many more days just like this one!

We had the most wonderful surprise today thanks to our friends at 365 Hospice. A huge thank you to Sammy, Bri, and Lizzy for stopping by with beautiful, thoughtful Valentines for all of our residents! 🌹✨

There is nothing quite like a handwritten note and a friendly smile to brighten someone’s day. This kind gesture truly warmed our spirits and was the perfect way to kick off our morning. 💌

❤️ Family, Flowers, and Fun!
We had a wonderful time last week at our Valentine’s Wreath Making workshop! The creativity was flowing, but the best part was the company.

A very special thank you to Lisa for volunteering her time to lead this activity! Having Lisa join her Mom and all the fellow residents added such a rewarding and personal touch to the afternoon. There is nothing quite like the joy of our residents getting to work side-by-side with their children/family on something beautiful.

Thank you, Lisa, for your kindness and for making Saint Benedict feel even more like home! 🌹✨

There is nothing our residents love more than a good old-fashioned auction! The energy in the room was electric today—the bids were high, the prizes were sweet, but the laughter was absolutely infectious!

The kitchen at Saint Benedict Manor smelled absolutely heavenly! 🍑🍓

By popular demand, our residents rolled up their sleeves to bake fresh Peach and Strawberry bread. There’s nothing quite like the scent of warm fruit and spices to make the Manor feel like home.

After our treats were in the oven, we kept the momentum going with a lively round of memory games! It was a great way to stay sharp, spark some friendly competition, and keep those brain muscles working. 🧠✨

We’ve officially started our Valentine’s festivities here at Saint Benedict Manor. Our residents started turning blank canvases into sweet works of art. Stay tuned for more holiday fun as we head toward February 14th! 💌
