Friday Feature: Meet Brandon Thompson, Licensed Professional Counselor

We are proud to highlight Brandon Thompson, LPC, a dedicated member of the Pica & Associates team.

Brandon earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2013) and Master’s in Counselor Education (2016) from the University of Central Florida. With nearly a decade of experience working in school settings, he has supported students from Pre-K through college-aged young adults.

His primary focus is working with children, adolescents, and young adults — especially first-generation college students navigating the transition into adulthood. He also provides support for:

• Anxiety and depression
• Life transitions and adjustment challenges
• Learning disabilities
• LGBTQ+ populations
• Career counseling

With his strong background in schools, Brandon helps families navigate special education services and the college process — from applications to graduation preparation.

He uses an eclectic approach, incorporating client-centered therapy, CBT, art therapy, and play therapy based on each client’s needs.

Outside the office, you’ll find him coaching boys’ soccer in the fall, kayaking, traveling, exploring national parks, and spending time in nature with his partner.

We are grateful for the expertise and care he brings to the families we serve.
