🐣🌷 Sensory-Friendly Easter at Windy Acres Farm! 🌷🐣

Rising Lights Project is excited to partner with Windy Acres Farm to offer a special sensory-friendly time slot during their Easter Festival!

Families affected by disability are invited to enjoy the magic of the farm in a more supportive, lower-stress environment. During this dedicated time, participants can experience the Easter festivities — including the egg hunt and farm attractions — in a setting designed with sensory needs in mind.

Thank you to Fox Valley Special Recreation Association for providing Soothe Space for all participants!

The therapists here LOVE seasons, holidays, and THEMES in a session!

🙋‍♀️ WHY? Simple - engagement and direction. These themes allow for engagement in a planned activity and create purpose and focus in challenging tasks!

💚 Kids LOVE these themes which sparks engagement which takes out some of the stress in a challenging activity!

To say we are excited is an UNDERSTATMENT. When this dynamo walked in the door her smile, passion, and OT SKILLLLLLLZ had us so excited!

🍕 Feeding Therapy: She LOVES this area of child life skills. She is bringing us experience and passion to sensory based feeding.

🤸‍♀️ Reflex Integration: Supporting coordination, attention, and overall development. Working through primitive and retained reflexes!
