Hello there. It's been a minute, eh?

I’ve started and stopped this email so many times I have long ago lost count.

When Brittany, Cailin and I make the excruciatingly difficult decision to close Remedy at the end of 2020 we couldn’t predict what the future had in store for us. None of us did, right? That place, those circumstances, the decisions that had to be made, all feel like lifetimes ago…
...well at the very least a few lengthy and challenging chapters in our life stories.

So much has changed.

I am writing this to you as this will be the last email newsletter you’ll receive from the Remedy Beauty & Body you formally knew and supported (in which the humble gratitude will always profoundly remain.) As I continue to navigate caregiving FT and exploring in small outward increments the ways my hands have been called to service at this point in my life, I wanted to share where you might find me these days:

Hello Dearhearts!

Wanted to send a quick update since it’s already been over 6 months since closing Remedy as we knew it. Goodness, how time flies and how much I miss each of your lovely faces!

As some of you may know, I’ve been caregiving for my grandfather as he enters his 95th! year and will continue to do so as long as I am able to in our home. For the time being I invite you to connect with me on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/amandalovesyourface/) to check out the latest evolution of my skin/self care offerings as they unfold. There’s A LOT I’ve been working on while on this sabbatical-of-sorts that I am very excited to share with you!

In addition, I do have a small selection of Jane Iredale, De La Terre and Cosmedix products- including favorites always sold out online, available for purchase by emailing me at rbbstcloud@gmail.com. Last but not least, the shop phone number is now disconnected due to the extreme amount of solicitor calls being received. Email or IG messaging moving forward :)

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye❤️

Last night Britt, Cailin and I shared in one last intention salt ritual as said goodbye to this expression of Remedy, our little slice of heaven over the past 5 1/2 years- where it rarely felt like “work” and where we were gifted with incredible clients we grew to call family.

We set an intention so that the space can continue to be a place of respite and healing for the future occupants.

We set an intention that our journeys will continue to guide our paths most true in the callings from Universe.

And we set a loving and kindness intention to you, Remedy family and friends, that you will continue to uncover your shining beacon of love and light.

Thank you for 5️⃣+ years of spa bliss💗

Y'all are simply incredible

Thank you so much for the outpouring of love and support.

Choosing to close the doors of the studio was a painful process, having so many people demonstrate their support has brought us to tears many times over the 11 days.

Appointment availability

Because of your generous support of Remedy Beauty & Body our service calendars are full for most services until our closing date. We wish we could’ve seen all of you! We do encourage you to check Schedulicity (https://www.schedulicity.com/scheduling/RBBX6Y) often for cancellation openings. Our online scheduling system is continually updating to reflect cancellations occurring 8+ hours prior to an appointment. And for those that unfortunately need to cancel their appointment because they are experiencing COVID symptoms or another unforeseen reason, please do not wait until last minute to cancel. We will still be implementing the late cancellation/no show policy.

Overflowing gratitude

We want to thank you so much for supporting all of our local small businesses, we have all been hit so hard by this pandemic. As each day passes, we continue to be hopeful that the current state of it will not grow to the point that we have to close the doors/limited services even earlier than we planned.

Yesterday we received an email from a client who invested the balance of her gift cards as support for the 10 weeks we were mandated closed and to assist in our future online business platform potential.

The kindness and love of this community continues to humble us. It is hard to express our gratitude without the ability to hug these days, however we want to thank each and everyone one of you, our Remedy family members for your part in building Remedy.

As we prepare to close our studio doors at the end of this year we're offering one last Product Sale for good ol' times sake:)

From now until 12/31/2020 all skincare and makeup products are 25% off.

If there is a specific item you would like to order so that we are certain to have it in, please email us at rbbstcloud@gmail.com before 11/21/2020 as we will be placing our final vendor orders then. After that date in-stock selection will go quickly so schedule a Product Pickup appointment ASAP for best selection!

Pre-ordered product will be invoiced, payable securely online and due once invoice is received. When your order is ready we will schedule with you a super safe, super fast Curbside Pickup appointment.

Dear Remedy family,


UFF-DA. This is a difficult and emotional letter to write, as over the past 5 years you’ve become more than clients. You’ve become friends, mentors and chosen family. Thank you for trusting us with your wellness, self-care decisions and for helping make Remedy a special little sanctuary.

It is with heavy hearts to share that we have collectively decided to close the Remedy Beauty & Body studio location at the end of this year. The future is unknown at this time, as we will be taking some time to reflect and determine what our roles are in this industry as well as our personal lives moving forward.

We will be staying open and taking appointments until 12/31/2020 following all restrictions and guidelines that have been outlined by the state and MN Board of Cosmetology. There will be appointment availability, as best we can maintain, to see as many of you in-person again. We will also be available via email to assist you with suitable transitions for your home care and wellness routines should you need us during this time.


GIFT CARDS + PRODUCT
All Gift Cards may now be used for product purchases and services from now until the end of 2020. For our clients with packages please email us by 11/16/2020 so we can issue a Gift Card for the remaining unused portion.

For product purchases we plan to sell through what we have left at 25% off starting today. All product sales are final. If there is a specific item you would like to order please email us at rbbstcloud@gmail.com no later than 11/21/2020, as we will be placing our final vendor orders then.

Once on hand retail items are sold-out, we will be directing product sales to our website (remedybeautyandbody.com) linking you directly to the brands we have carried in shop. Our plan is to achieve this by mid-December.

MORE TO COME...
We will not vanish into thin air. We love to nurture wellness (and you, our Remedy family) too much to not be moving ahead together somehow, someway, in the future. For right now, we must pause and take time to chart our next steps.

There will be more details unfolding over the coming weeks, this is a fluid situation and changes are always expected. We will keep you posted on ordering deadlines, possible virtual offerings, and our recommended referrals for your services.

Thank you for your support and understanding through all of this. We are incredibly honored to have been given the opportunity to support you over the past 5 years and look forward to continuing our connection in a new way.
