IBS Awareness Month: The Reality of Invisible Symptoms
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) affects up to 5-10% of individuals worldwide, making it one of the most common gastrointestinal disorders. While the physical symptoms of IBS are undoubtedly debilitating, IBS can also significantly affect mental health. People with IBS restrict their activities an average of 73 days a year. Simple outings, meals with friends, or even commuting to work can feel like an overwhelming challenge.

Today is National Doctors’ Day, a time to recognize physicians with dignity, respect, and gratitude. At St. Croix Health, we’re taking a moment to thank the doctors who bring skill, judgment, and a steady presence to patient care every day.

The physicians we work with treat illnesses, but they also go a step beyond. They earn trust in hard conversations, guide teams through uncertainty, and stay grounded when the stakes are high. Their work reflects both excellence in medicine and the humanity required to practice it well.

National Doctors’ Day is a chance to say thank you in a way that feels credible and personal. We encourage you to share your gratitude in the comments!

We’re aware of an issue affecting some local landline-to-landline calls in the Frederic area. This may prevent calls from going through to our Frederic Clinic and Pharmacy.

On Purple Day, join supporters worldwide who wear purple to bring awareness to epilepsy. Epilepsy is a neurological disorder of the central nervous system, specifically of the brain. It is characterized by the tendency to have recurrent seizures. Did you know half of the people diagnosed with epilepsy have no known cause? The goal of Purple Day is to dispel myths and to help those with seizures know they're not alone. You can learn more about epilepsy and Purple Day here: http://ow.ly/jJJ950NaMMX
