Why is being sober so difficult? guess you really do have to change who you surround yourself with, and where you hang out. I work in entertainment and find it near impossible to do it sober. Maybe it's time to not be working in entertainment any longer? How exhausting!? And how sad to be a talented musician who can't work in a setting where there is alcohol.

The past few months have marked some huge changes in my life. With the help of my doctor, I transitioned off of Prozac, I quit drinking, I've been visiting the gym three times a week, I'm eating a little bit more vegetables and fruit, and a little less of the stuff that is hard on you. These Collective changes have made a huge difference in my life. I can function like a normal person without profusely sweating(not to be gross), my blood sugar has normalized, I'm sleeping at night again, not just sleeping but dreaming, I'm lighter on my feet because I've lost a chunk of weight that's officially noticeable and it would appear that my moods have leveled out and coping with life unclouded is a lot easier. Not every day is easy, but I've told myself that the standard for my life, and my health should be much higher than what it has been. And here we are! At this point, I'm not trying to lose weight, I'm just trying to be in better physical shape to help me age as well as possible. My body is resetting itself, and I find it very exciting to notice a slight change in my parents, and much looser clothing. One Day At A time.

One day at a time.

Sobriety is challenging. You know what else a challenge? NOT being sober. What do you NOT miss about about booze? My list is substantial:
*feelings of guilt the day after
*"where'd my paycheck go?"
*How did I get home?
*Is that a cop behind me? (knowing damned well I've had too much to drink and should NOT be driving)
*Ridiculous hangovers
*depression
*weight gain
*DUI's
.and I could go on and on. Enough with the toxic living!

You are not alone friend.
