Haircut day✂️✂️ Several of our horses have long, thick manes that can lead them to overheat in the summer. To keep them comfortable, we roach (cut off) their manes! When it starts growing back, it turns into a mowhawk like Kajun’s.

Love our awesome herd? Want more hands-on horse experience? Starting May 6th, we'll be holding once a week herd training days!

Assigned tasks will include things like riding, lunging, ground work, grooming, and more! Ride time not guaranteed- assignments made based on ability and herd needs.

No lessons means our instructors have a chance to get on our horses and do tune-up rides to make sure they stay ready for lessons! Plus all the other things that keep the farm running- barn projects for Abby and lots of paperwork for Brianna and Tena 😉. We can’t wait to see everyone back for summer mini semester next week!

🌟Horse Spotlight: Girl🌟
Everybody loves Girl, with her Dalmatian-like coat and her habit of scratching her face as soon as her bridle comes off. She’s a sensitive and sweet mare and her riders love her smooth gaits. She’s a great horse for riders learning to canter or working on their training skills. She has some spice to her but is very well behaved (most of the time). We love you Girl!
