Did I know four years ago that this drum would shape my future? Absolutely not! Four years ago I made my first drum and it was the first time in my life that felt like I was connecting to something familiar. I trusted that feeling and stepped into a world of fulfillment. I love this work. I love the connection. I love the community. I’m full of gratitude that I chose to step in and my heart is full in a way I didn’t expect. ❤️

Oh my heart! When the universe swoops in and brings two souls together, magic is created! trusted me with her drum, trusted me to take her home with me, and trusted that I could recreate a piece of art that she loved. She trusted me to let change flow one piece of art into another, to shift the energy into personal power.

You already do wonderful work and have created such a beautiful partnership with your drum, and I can’t wait to see that bond grow deeper now that you have her back!

This type of rattle has been on my “things to make” list for a while. This particular rattle is called a pe**te or gourd rattle and it’s probably one of the most intricate (and time consuming) rattles I’ve made to date. I’ve only ever beaded twice in my life and each time I gain a newfound appreciation for this particular craft because it requires such an intense amount of focus and concentration which makes it perfect for active meditation. I wish I would’ve counted the hours but it took me a minimum of 20 hours over three days to complete!

I had such a fantastically busy weekend. I met so many beautiful people at on Saturday where I also hosted a drum journey. And today I had the opportunity to guide these beautiful souls in birthing their own drums!
