Valentine’s Day usually gets wrapped up in hearts, flowers, and romantic dinners. And don’t get me wrong—I love a good excuse for chocolate. But as I’ve gotten older, Valentine’s has come to mean something a little bigger to me. It’s about all the people who hold my heart: my beautiful wife, my kids, my friends… my whole crew of “valentines.”

And surprisingly, one of the biggest things that’s helped me stay connected to all of them? My Starkey Hearing aids.

More than ten years ago, Justin Osmond ran 250 miles so 25 deaf children could hear & live better.
The hardest part wasn’t the distance—it was realizing how small acts, when fueled by purpose, can create life-changing impact.
We don’t all need to run hundreds of miles. But we can choose to show up, care deeply, and do something—anything—that makes the world better than we found it.
That run reminded me that real change doesn’t require perfection... just heart. We all have the power to make a difference and build a kinder, better world.

On a recent fishing trip with my buddies, I tried something simple that made a huge difference. I placed a small table microphone on the center console between us while we drove. With road noise, wind, and the hum of the highway, it’s usually tough for me to follow conversations in the car—but not this time.

This little microphone picked up everyone’s voices clearly and sent them straight to my hearing devices. For the first time on a road trip, I didn’t have to guess, nod along, or miss half the jokes and fishing stories. I was right there in the middle of the conversation.

It wasn’t just about hearing better—it was about being connected. Laughing at the right moments. Sharing stories. Feeling included. That tiny microphone turned a noisy truck ride into a real, easy conversation with friends.
