This Patient Experience Week, we are honoring our patients for trusting us with their care during important milestones.

Meet Ulyses and Cindia. They missed their graduation ceremonies while receiving care at Adventist Health Delano, so we brought the graduation to them. Complete with balloons, confetti, and festive mariachi music, the day was filled with joy and heartfelt emotion.

We are thankful to have celebrated this important step in their journey.

We are grateful for our Adventist Health volunteers who recently served 2,366 patients during their mission trip to the Philippine island of Mindoro.

Alongside local medical teams and churches, they cared for nearly 500 patients each day, performing over 600 minor surgeries and more than 1,000 dental procedures.

The trip was filled with prayer, laughter, and living God’s love.

“We were wonderfully blessed by the Filipino community. God is working!” said John Schroer, Director for Global Mission.

When you have asthma, it's important to know your zone, and have a plan for what to do if you feel worse.

You're in the green zone if you're doing well with no wheeze, cough, chest tightness, or shortness of breath. You may be getting worse if you're coughing or wheezing, have chest tightness, and cannot participate in all usual activities.

You're in the red zone and need immediate medical attention if you are very short of breath and cannot participate in any usual activities.

Talk to your doctor to develop a plan for what to watch for and what actions you need to take in each zone.
