Courtney is a strong believer in the power of daily movement and physical rehab leading people to recovery from injuries and pain. Through evidence based practice, Courtney works on providing her patients with education and motivation to become independent in their rehab process.

As a Napa Valley native, Courtney Helmer Harberts is passionate about her role as a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Joint Physical Therapy so she can help the community that she grew up in. Most of Courtney’s training centered around pain and injuries, but she continues to increase her breadth of knowledge in physical therapy in order to help as many clients as possible, especially with extra training and courses in vestibular/balance rehab and pelvic floor physical therapy.

Growing up as a student-athlete in Calistoga, Courtney developed a passion for living an active lifestyle and recognizing its importance in injury prevention, as well as recovery. Courtney has dabbled in a variety of sports growing up, such as basketball and flag football, but in recent years has developed a love for tennis, and is slowly dipping her feet into golf.

After initially getting her Bachelor of Education degree from Avondale College, it didn’t take long before she realized her love for working with people one on one, and re-routed her career. She then went on to get her Masters in Kinesiology from Cal Baptist University before pursuing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University.

New PT! You can find Lindsay in St Helena as well as in Napa

Lindsay Sigmon has a passion for the treatment of youth, athletes and active adults to achieve optimal physical performance, injury rehabilitation/prevention, and restoration of wellness while minimizing the need for further medical care.

Lindsay, a former competitive athlete and current fitness-driven physical therapist, understands the desire to return to peak function as quickly as possible while minimizing length of recovery during training/rehabilitation. For this reason, her primary goals are to provide her clients with the proper rehabilitation program to restore and return to desired activities with minimal rest time or activity modifications.

Lindsay believes in designing and providing an individualized rehabilitation/treatment plan suitable for each of her client’s needs. She excels in functional movement screening/assessments, the development of wellness programs and sports specific training regimens to minimize future injuries, maximize athletic performance and promote optimal strength, power and performance.

Lindsay earned her Bachelor of Health Science degree at Clemson University in 2005 and later received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2009. She has certifications in Selected Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) as well as experience in Kinesiotaping, Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization techniques, Manual therapy and Therapeutic massage. She is eager and excited to serve Napa Valley.

At Joint PT we are excited to introduce Dr. Emmy Cozine. She is an amazing pelvic rehab specialist. See below for her bio. DM, text, or call 707-287-4437 for an appointment or more info!

My name is Emily Cozine, and I am very excited to be joining Paul at Joint Napa Valley Physical Therapy. I was born and raised in Sonoma County, and after living in San Diego for 9 years, it is wonderful to be back in the beautiful wine country. After receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Doctorate Physical Therapy from San Diego State University, I began my career working as a pelvic floor physical therapist in San Diego before relocating back to northern California last year. Pelvic health is a very strong passion of mine, mainly due to the importance bladder, bowel, and sexual health plays in quality of life. I treat a wide range of pelvic health conditions in both males and females including: urinary and f***l incontinence, urinary urgency/frequency, painful urination/defecation, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, nocturia (urinating at night), diastasis recti, erectile dysfunction, dyspareunia (pain with in*******se), and pelvic/abdominal pain. Just to name a few. I strive to provide the most up-to-date evidence-based care, which is why I am frequently reading research articles, taking continuing education courses, and why I sat for the Pelvic Rehab Practitioner Certification (PRPC) exam administered by Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. My goal is to help and educate people about their pelvic health to reclaim control over their bodies and enhance their quality of life. Outside of work, I spend time with my family and sweet dog, Stella, and regularly ride my bike and trail run.
