HIRING - Funeral Home Removal Technician
Columbia Funeral Home in Saint Helens is looking to fill a position for on-call staff. Our removal technicians play a vital role in the care we offer families, as they travel to the place of death and bring the deceased safely back to our funeral home. We invite you to apply if you're looking for a rewarding and unique experience helping others in the community.
This is NOT a fulltime or parttime position it is an on-call position. Removal technicians are on call and expected to remain available and in Columbia County for the duration of their shift. When a death occurs, they will be contacted by our funeral directors and expected to arrive in the office within 30 minutes (maximum). We request that interested candidates commit to at least 2 shifts per week. THIS IS NOT A SOLE SOURCE OF INCOME AND YOU DO NEED TO BE RELIABLE. There is NO hourly wage you will get paid per call out.
Our available shifts are as follows:
Weekdays Monday - Friday 5PM - 9AM (16 hour shift), Saturday and/or Sunday 9AM- 9AM (24 hour shift).
Qualified applicants will be over 18 years of age, hold a valid Oregon state driver's license (with a clean record), and live within Columbia County.
This job requires a respectful demeanor, the ability to lift and carry at least 75lbs, and confidence in problem solving various obstacles of a sensitive nature.
We will provide training.
