Tuesday, November 4th - orthodontist appointments, office hours 1:00 - 6:00 pm
Wednesday, November 5th - eye doctor appointment, may arrive a little late!
Closed Thursday
Friday, November 7th - neurology appointment, office hours 8-8:30, 2-5:30 pm
Saturday, November 8th 9:00 - noon

Dr. Niekamp has two FFA members this year and have started their biggest fundraiser. The lessons and skills learned through FFA are invaluable and to watch these young students grow throughout their years in this program is amazing. Let us know if you are in need of any of these products. These two would love to grace your doorstep or are willing to spend a Saturday or 2 at the office for you to stop by!

Dr. Niekamp really thought next week would be a full week at work for her - then her daughter calls at lunch saying her bracket broke. Off to the 🦷 orthodontist 🦷 they must go on Tuesday.

Dr. Niekamp will be out the morning of Tuesday, September 9th with office hours from 1:00 - 6:00.

I am sorry for not having been in the past couple of days. Here is the events of the past few days:

Life sometimes can throw you a curveball you aren’t expecting. That was us on Friday morning.

Joel went downstairs to exchange some cash with Tate and when he came upstairs I noticed something was off. I watched him for maybe 2-4 minutes before Ava yelled at me that something was wrong. I grabbed him to make him talk to me and he couldn’t.

We squaded him to Joint Township where I feel
like they moved heaven and earth to get him evaluated as quickly as possible. From the call at 7:20 to the “last” chat with the ER doc at 9:30/10 he had already had a CT scan, an MRI, multiple blood draws, a visit with the neurologist NP, a visit with the cardiologist, and Joel tried to sell Tate to the ER doc!

His official diagnosis was a TIA but his care team has a plan in place over the next month to try and figure out why he at 41 had a TIA and potentially had already suffered one we didn’t know about.

We appreciate all the help from family and friends, the kind messages and well wishes, and the yummy food that was so graciously offered to us.

Joel agrees, 10 out of 10 he wouldn’t recommend the 48 hours we experienced from Friday to Saturday but is glad to be here. He is a man of few words and hates the attention - so he requests no interviews when you see him as he is still processing his new normal.

Thank you to everyone who reached out, who had a hand in keeping our kids feeling safe and normal, and everyone who said a prayer for Joel. We felt all your love and prayers the whole weekend.

Dr. Niekamp had a family emergency this morning and won’t be at the office all day today and possibly tomorrow. We will try and return all messages in a timely matter. Thanks for your understanding.

Dr. Niekamp will be in the office at 10:00 today. Between a sick kid and the weigh ins at the fair, she got held up at the fairgrounds this morning. We apologize for the inconvenience and once again thank you for understanding!

Dr. Niekamp is out of the office tomorrow! 2 kids will be interviewing at the State Fair for their special interest projects!

She will be back in on Friday from 730-500 and Saturday from 9-12 noon.

We’ll wait until Saturday to post about next week, Auglaize County Fair week!

Next week is a crazy one for Dr. Niekamp.

Not only do the kids have 4H project judging and livestock interviews next week, but Dr. Niekamp’s goddaughter is getting married!

With that being said, our office hours are a little bananas next week!
