🦠Covid: Update 5/19/22
Unfortunately the incidence of Covid has doubled in the last month. So when possible please do the below precautions when at risk (unavoidably near others):
1- 😷 Always wear mask above and tightly around the nose and under the chin! Adjust mask not touching where you breathe - grab straps or sides of mask. Wearing two 2-3 masks has proven to be statistically more effective than one mask. The thicker and denser the mask the better.
Now that things are opening up, and mask requirements have been reduced I have been asked should people still wear them? Bottom line is it is better to be safe than sorry. Even if you have had the vaccine or actually had Covid you could be susceptible to the mutant variant Covid virus.☝🏽
👀The virus can also get into your body through your eyes. Try to wear glasses, gargles, and a plastic shield around your face and eyes when appropriate. 🦸🏼‍♀️🥽
2- Keep physical distance 📏
distance more than 6ft when Possible.👥❌
When moving up to next line in a store do not stand exactly where other person was- 🚷 go few feet to right or left of line-👣-To avoid same breathing space🗣, Open windows as much as possible, Cough/sneeze into your elbow always 💪
3-Disinfect! Wear🧤! A large majority of infections come from hand to face transmission. So if you touch a pen, door k**b, someone’s hand, thermometer, and then touch your face you can contract the virus. Disinfect your hands frequently. Do not touch your face unless you disinfect your 🤗 hands.
4-Vitamins D, zinc, C, quercetin
5-healthy lifestyle-rest, sufficient sleep, exercise, water, & nutritious diet. Mortality rate is approximately 50% higher for obese patients that have Covid!
6-Signs and symptoms of the coronavirus are cough, decrease smell and taste, sore throat, fever, malaise, shortness of breath, aches, and pains.🤢 Call your doctor ASAP!
7-If you have the corona virus infection, and are short of breath go to the hospital‼️ 🏨
8-If you have the virus and need pain medicine Tylenol 💊 is preferred over Advil.
9-always keep your physician informed.☝🏼
New antiviral medicines are available, as per your physician. Some patients are requesting ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine. Discuss with your physician what medicines would be appropriate for your situation. 😌
10-If you have any questions, comments, please call 631-361-6160🌈

02/23/2022

Through the years I have found that the most common heavy-metal above the normal range in a blood test is aluminum. Lead is very rare since it is no longer in gasoline or paint. Mercury would be the second most common heavy metal in that can build up in humans. We are living in the what some call 'the aluminum age'. Aluminum can be in Underarm Deodorants, pots & pans, food foil, and many other daily items most people come in contact with.

Aluminum conducts heat quickly and is quite sturdy which is why it is widely used in pots & pans. However, when heated up, aluminum can react with acidic foods like tomatoes and vinegar. This reaction can make the food toxic and might also lead to stomach troubles and nausea.

Signs and symptoms of aluminum toxicity are:
Seizure
Slow growth in children
Confusion
Muscle weakness
Bone pain, boney deformities, and fractures
Speech problems
Some studies indicate it may even cause dementia.

Findings from an aluminum level blood test are unreliable, as most of the body's stores are bound in bone and tissue, and are not reflected in the serum value. This is why when getting an aluminum blood level you should do what’s called a challenge or provocation test. You take chelating agents; which help get it out of your body tissues into the blood so you can measure the aluminum burden accurately.

If you aluminum level as well as other heavy metals are above normal they should be removed by chelation therapy either orally or IV.

Men’s health
It has been my experience that most men do you not take care of themselves as much as women. Some men go many years without a physical examination or blood testing. The best wealth is health! It does take some effort two I have optimal health. If you were to go to the University of Google and look up the word happiness the number one thing to be happy is health!
The pillars of health apply to both men and women. This includes A healthy diet leaning towards vegetarianism. Never over eating or eating late at night. Excessive weight can cause many ills. Most people realize that excessive weight can cause hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, heart attacks, & diabetes. Obesity can also increase dementia, knee and back disorders, and cancers!
Exercise decreases heart and lung aging and dementia by approximately 50%. Exercise is extremely important to maintain health and vitality. It should be done on a regular basis and in an enjoyable fashion. Both aerobic (🚴🏽🚣🏽‍♂️🏌🏽‍♂️🏊🏼‍♀️🏀🏸🏃🏾‍♀️), and anaerobic ( 💪🏽resistance 🏋🏼‍♀️)exercise should be done. Other forms of exercise such as balance, stretching, and brain 🧠 exercise are also very important. Proper sleep rest, and stress control are also part of the equation of being healthy.
Regular physical exams and blood 🩸testing should be done on a at least a yearly basis! Extensive blood testing would also be advantageous. Meaning heavy metals such as aluminum, mercury, lead. Hormonal Testing such as total and free testosterone, estrogen, and DHEA.
Inflammatory markers should also be obtained since inflammation can cause many physical ailments including cancer, joint problems, strokes and heart attacks.
Prostate examination and blood test ( PSA ) should be done yearly; since prostate cancer is quite common. As with all cancers the earlier you catch it the more likely you will survive, and not have to undergo brutal treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation and major surgery. Prevention is much better than treatment!☝🏼

Exercise 🚴🏽🏊🏼🏋🏼‍♀️⛹🏽‍♂️🏄🏼🏌🏽‍♂️
Is there a minimum amount of daily physical activity that still provides health benefits? The answer is yes. Although the health benefits of following these guidelines are well established, what about Americans who exercise but don’t meet the 150-minute-per-week recommendation?

Minutes of exercise per day can add years to life. In a recent study published in The Lancet, researchers in Taiwan grouped over 400,000 study participants into one of five categories of exercise volume: 😴inactive, 🧎🏼low, 🚴‍♂️medium, ⛹🏼‍♀️high, and 🏃‍♀️very high activity. The researchers compared each group with the inactive group, and then calculated each group’s mortality risks and life expectancy.
Comparing those in the inactive group (who exercised less than 60 minutes per week), people in the low-volume group exercised for approximately 92 minutes per week. This equates to 15 minutes of exercise every day. This group had a 3-year longer life expectancy and a 14% decreased risk for all-cause mortality than the inactive group. These benefits extended to all age groups, sexes, and to those with cardiovascular disease risks.
Only 🕘15 minutes per day of moderate-intensity exercise can have health benefits. Furthermore, the researchers found that every additional 15 minutes of exercise beyond the minimum 15 minutes per day lead to a reduction in general mortality by 4% and a decrease in cancer-related mortality by 1%.
On the other hand: “Individuals who were inactive had a 17% increased risk of mortality compared with individuals in the low-volume group”!
“The American Society of Clinical Oncology the seventh edition” that just came out a few weeks ago, on page 238 states that there was a study that revealed moderate (when it is difficult to talk) exercise (2 to 3 hours/week) has been reported to the reduce breast cancer reoccurrence, and all cause mortality rates approximately 40 to 67%!
Another study cited revealed recreational exercise can reduce the incidence of breast cancer 20 to 30% primarily among pre-menopausal women!
There also has been studies showing that regular exercise decreases dementia, and other illnesses. Once again exercise has a huge benefit!
The most common excuse not to exercise is “no time”. If you don’t take care of yourself no one else will☝🏼! You have to make some time to take care of yourself. The best wealth is health. In fact the most important thing for happiness is your health. Please go to the University of Google, and Google the word health and you will see this stated. 😌

What is your Favorite form of exercise?

The weather has been beautiful🌞, but the dark side of the sun is melanoma🌘

The most common cancer is skin cancer. From the least to the worst is basal cell, squamous, and the most malignant melanoma. Melanoma is the most aggressive since it can travel two other body parts known as metastasis.
Do not get sunburned! It has been shown that the prior burn areas are more likely to create skin cancer. Try to find natural sun blockers, and use them liberally. Limit your sun exposure, do not stay for prolonged periods in bright sunlight.
Everyone has an individual tolerance to the sun. If you are fair skinned: shorter periods of time in the sun as compared to more melanated skin that can tolerate the sun without getting a sunburn. Wear hats and shirts when possible. It is also important to be well hydrated while out in the sun.
Everyone should be checked by a dermatologist head to toe yearly to make sure nothing suspicious is going on unchecked. An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure! If you catch cancer at an early stage whether it’s breast, skin, colon they are usually curable. Will not have to go through horrific treatments such as major surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy. Be safe and remember to protect yourself against the sun.

What method are you using to prevent sunburn this summer?
