As 2025 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on a year of restoring sight.

Every number represents a person — and a story made possible through your support.

Thank you for walking alongside Vision Outreach International this year.

This spring in Jamaica, our team witnessed a moment none of us will forget.

A young woman in her twenties — homeless, separated from her children, and facing total blindness — arrived with one eye severely damaged and the other clouded by a dense cataract. Given the complexity, the team hoped they might restore even a small amount of sight.

The next day, she opened her eye and could see 20/40.

From total blindness… to reading the eye chart.

One team member described it simply as “a God moment.”

Moments like this remind us why the work matters.

Today we celebrate the birth of Jesus — the Light of the world.

At Christmas, we rejoice in the gift of hope, love, and redemption that entered the world through Him.

As a ministry grounded in faith, we are grateful to serve in His name — restoring sight and caring for people with dignity and compassion.

From all of us at Vision Outreach International, Merry Christmas 🎄👁️❤️

Tonight, we remember the waiting.

Before the miracle…
before the healing…
before the Light was fully revealed—
there was hope, quietly arriving.

On Christmas Eve, we pause in gratitude for a God who came near—
to dwell with us,
to restore what was broken,
and to bring hope into the world.

We’re honored to serve in His name—
caring for people with dignity, compassion, and love.

From all of us at Vision Outreach International,
wishing you a peaceful and holy Christmas Eve. ❤️

Because of generous supporters like you, skilled medical teams are able to provide eye care with compassion, dignity, and excellence — like this team serving patients in Ecuador.🌍

💜Thank you for helping make this work possible for individuals and communities around the world.

🎄This season is full of shopping lists and last-minute gifts.

If you’re looking for something meaningful — a gift that doesn’t get tucked away or forgotten — restoring someone’s sight is truly life-changing.

Your donation helps provide medical care, restore vision, and bring hope to those waiting for care — like the women in this photo waiting for an eye screening in the Dominican Republic.

💙 Give a gift that lasts far beyond Christmas.

“Dr. Rutgard was an amazing trainer — so incredibly patient. He walked us through each step of the procedure and treated every patient with kindness.”

During MSICS training in Mexico, one physician recalled a patient who traveled nearly two days by bus to reach the clinic for cataract surgery. He was cared for the very day he arrived — and was deeply grateful.

When you support training, you expand the mission far beyond one clinic or one week. You’re investing in skilled hands that will restore sight for years to come.

“Last month, I was blessed to receive a voucher, and this month I finally had my first eye exam in years—and even got new glasses.”

Through our local voucher program, Vision Outreach International helps neighbors in our own community access eye exams and glasses they otherwise couldn’t afford.

Stories like Latisha’s remind us that vision loss doesn’t just happen somewhere else — it affects people right here at home.

Thank you for helping us meet these needs with compassion and dignity. 💙

As we approach the end of 2025, we’re reflecting on a year filled with restored sight, renewed hope, and unforgettable moments with patients around the world.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing short stories from this year — individuals whose lives were changed through cataract surgery, local eye care, and MSICS training.

Thank you for being part of this mission. Your support makes these transformations possible. 💙
