We are grateful for every opportunity to be present in our communities to provide information about our services. Today we are at the Decatur VFW for the Van Buren County Veteran Stand Down sharing about the supports we provide through We Honor Veterans and connecting with community partners.

The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce annual golf outing took place this past Friday, drawing 29 teams of 4 and numerous corporate sponsors. Our community relations representative, Angela, was in attendance at our sponsored hole, offering snacks and water, a chipping challenge, and interacting with players as they waited to tee off. Participants were graciously engaged, sharing their hospice experience or gaining insight into the advantages of hospice care, including our organization's impressive 44-year legacy as a locally supported, non-profit hospice. A special thanks to Corewell Health Foundation Southwest Michigan for furnishing fully charged battery operated neck fans. It was an unseasonably warm fall day and those were an unexpected and greatly appreciated gift!

For the past 13 years, one incredible woman has led a group with a mission of pure love: creating handmade, no-sew fleece blankets for our hospice patients. This labor of compassion has wrapped thousands of patients in warmth, comfort, and dignity during some of life’s most tender moments.

As she now closes this beautiful chapter, we can only imagine the thousands of hearts touched and the countless families who felt her care through each blanket. While the legacy of these blankets may be ending, the love they carried will never fade.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for sharing your time, talent, and spirit with those we serve. 💜

Our team at Corewell Health Hospice & Palliative Care Southwest Michigan, formerly Caring Circle, is more than just a collection of employees - we are a community united by a calling to serve others. We are so proud of the difference they make every day.
