Urban Escape Healing

Urban Escape Healing Urban Escape Healing exists to deepen our connection to mind-body-spirit. I am the founder and owner of Urban Escape Healing. Healing is a lifestyle for me.

I believe that the human body has the ability to heal itself and that everything we need is within us, found throughout nature and the cosmos. I work to be a bridge between science and spirituality, while staying grounded and approachable. My goal is to illuminate patterns and blockages that are holding you back from a thriving version of yourself. I can do this through the body and the chakra/meridian system. After creating the awareness, I move unstuck energy and physical blockages in the body to return flow. I am here to help you remember who you are and breakthrough into an embodied life. Over 10 years ago, Reiki was the “gateway” energy healing therapy that led me into deeper exploration of consciousness and inspired me to take more courses in the Healing Arts. I now know I will be a lifelong student. Currently, I have completed level II as a Craniosacral Practitioner and will continue to deepen my practice. Sound (not even just music!) may be the MOST important part of my life as I’ve been drumming since I was a kid. Throughout the last decade +, I’ve learned new instruments (didgeridoo, gong, flute, etc.) and have begun to tap into the deeper power of sounds and frequencies. I am currently studying Acutonics(R) Level II, a potent sound healing modality with specially calibrated tuning forks. I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist, a 2016 graduate from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL. I practice an integrative form of Massage & Bodywork with influences from the east (Tui Na, Shiatsu, Thai, Reflexology) and the west (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Clinical) . The culmination is a session to give you what YOU need. Aromatherapy and the power of scent is an important element throughout my sessions and life. I’ve been using, working with, and teaching about essential oils for the last decade. I have recently become the father to a strong beautiful baby girl. My wife and I are enjoying growing young with her and learning lessons every day. This informs my work and helps me see deeper into life. Mind, body, and spirit is reached through my sensory and elemental approach to healing. I enjoy holding a space where you can be heard and your individual needs can be met. I am transformation and so are YOU.

Assisted Hip Release

The Assisted Hip Release is another in my stretch series. It is a posture of surrender that opens the front body while integrating a cross-body spiral. Lying near the edge of a bed or couch, allow one leg to drop toward the floor and gently hold the foot to deepen the stretch through the quadriceps and hip flexors. Open the opposite arm out from the body and turn your neck away from that arm. Let the hips stay heavy. Hold for at least three minutes so the body moves beyond muscle guarding and into deeper fascial adaptation.

This stretch primarily lengthens the hip flexors and quadriceps, the anterior lower leg, the anterior chest and shoulder, and the obliques with cervical rotators. Fascially, it influences three main chains: the Superficial Front Line, the Deep Front Line, and the Spiral Line. The dropped leg opens the front line from foot to pelvis. The psoas and diaphragm engage through the deep front line, affecting breath and nervous system tone. The arm opening and head rotation activate the spiral line, creating a contralateral tension pattern from ankle to neck…more reflective of how we actually move in life.

Beyond structure, this posture often softens forward-drive tension, the subtle bracing pattern of constant “go.” By distributing load diagonally across the system rather than isolating the hip, the body feels safer letting go. Over time, it restores length through the front body, improves rotational balance, and encourages a grounded yet open posture.

Pyramid Breathing
Breathe With Me 🔺

This is structured breath.
Intentional breath.
Power moving through the body.

Inhale through the nose
Pump the abdomen out

Exhale through the mouth
Pump the abdomen in

We climb the pyramid:

7 pumps in / 7 pumps out
6 / 6
5 / 5
4 / 4
3 / 3
2 / 2
1 / 1

Every section = one full breath.

Then we descend:

6 / 6
5 / 5
4 / 4
3 / 3
2 / 2
1 / 1

Hold the breath at the bottom.
Feel the stillness.

🔺

This breath:

• Strengthens the diaphragm + deep core
• Improves breath mechanics + supports lymph flow
• Balances Qi circulation — harmonizing Lung + Kidney energy
• Regulates the nervous system
• Moves stagnant energy through the gut, fascia, + lower chakras
• Sharpens respiratory efficiency + calm under stress
• Activates meditative focus + clears cognitive clutter

The rising + falling pattern mirrors the ascent and descent of kundalini-like energy.

Up the pyramid — activation.
Down the pyramid — integration.
Hold — awareness.

Start with 3 sets if you can handle it.
Or simply do what your body allows.

Add sets as you build capacity.

Structured breath builds structured energy.

Breathe with me.

Headache?
Pressure behind the eyes?
Energy stuck in the head?

Try this.

Gently tap the inner edge of your eyebrows.
Slow. Rhythmic. Steady.

This point sits at the start of the Bladder meridian, a major channel that runs over the head and down the back body.

When stress rises… energy rises.
Too much Yang up top = pressure.

Tap + hold points about 1 minute total.
That’s all you need.
Stay longer if your body asks for it.

You’re:

• Opening the pressure valve
• Clearing rising heat
• Interrupting pain loops
• Signaling safety to the nervous system

Then…

Stop tapping.
Keep your fingers resting there.
Light pressure. Stillness.

Let the rhythm turn into presence.
Let the energy drop.

Head clears.
Body grounds.

OM Breath
Ground your nervous system.
Come home to your center.

This one is simple. Approachable. Powerful.

Hands in prayer at your ❤️
Sit tall. Soften your jaw.

Inhale through your nose.
Fill the belly first…
then the ribs…
then the chest.

Exhale through the mouth.

After your last inhale, gently hold.
Then release with a long, steady OM on the exhale.
Feel the vibration in your chest.

Flow right back into diaphragmatic breathing.

Start with 3 rounds.
Or set a timer + let it become a rhythm.

Why I love this one:

• Strengthens Lung + Heart meridians, supporting smooth, balanced flow
• Shifts you into parasympathetic calm (rest + restore mode)
• Softens emotional tension around the heart + solar plexus
• Brings left + right channels into harmony
• The vibration of OM helps organize brainwaves + clear stagnation
• Draws prana toward the central channel, deepening intuition + stability
• Improves oxygen efficiency + CO₂ tolerance for steadier focus

Breath.
Sound.
Intention.

When they move together,
your system remembers how to self-regulate.

I’d love to be a helping buddy
along your fertility journey 🤍

I’ve seen some really beautiful outcomes
from women and couples who’ve come in for sessions with me.

At the end of the day, I believe there are bigger forces at play that we don’t fully understand.

But I also believe this:

You can create better conditions for your body.

You can help your system feel safe.
You can improve circulation.
You can release stored tension.
You can calm the stress response.

And when the body feels supported instead of pressured…
it often responds differently.

The work I do isn’t about forcing anything.
It’s about helping your body shift into balance.

Sound healing to calm the nervous system and speak to deep parts of you.
Massage and lymphatic work to improve flow.
Fascial and emotional release to soften what’s been held.
Essential oils to pamper you with nature.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do
is stop pushing
and start supporting.

If this season feels tender for you:
I’m here.

Alternate Nostril Breathing
Yin. Chill. Nervous system balance.

One of the best beginner breaths you can learn.

Sit or lie down.
Close one nostril. Inhale + exhale.
Switch sides. Inhale + exhale.
Set a timer. Let it be simple.
Add time as you build capacity.

That’s it.

But what it does… is powerful.

This breath is a nervous system teacher.
It gently guides you into parasympathetic mode…
lowering stress chemistry, softening the body,
bringing you back to center.

It balances left + right brain
logic + intuition
doing + being

It regulates internal heat and energy,
supports smooth Qi flow,
and creates harmony between yin + yang.

Emotionally?
It gives tension somewhere to go.
Rhythm creates safety.
Safety creates release.

Energetically?
It clears subtle pathways (nadis),
awakens awareness,
and draws your mind into stillness.

If you’re learning nervous system regulation…
start here.

Simple.
Grounded.
Effective.

Master the basics.
