Today, we recognize and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the dignity, safety, and inclusion of every person we serve. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights reminds us that all people—regardless of ability—are entitled to freedom, equality, and the opportunity to fully participate in their communities.

For people with developmental disabilities, these rights aren’t abstract ideals... they are lived experiences that shape every day. Our work is rooted in the belief that choice, autonomy, respect, and community belonging are fundamental human rights, not privileges.

As we honor this day, we recommit to advocating, educating, and partnering with our community to ensure these rights are recognized, protected, and celebrated.
