Last week, we held our third Adult Children education program, aka Family Support Series, at Saint Therese of Corcoran and were so grateful to welcome about 20 attendees for a meaningful and supportive conversation.

These gatherings are all about connection and helpful guidance as families navigate the aging journey together. Thank you to everyone who joined us.

Sixty thank-you notes say a lot about one team member.

Residents at Saint Therese of Woodbury recently shared their appreciation for Ben Sibert, a recreation assistant in our memory care neighborhood. One morning, staff discovered something remarkable: 60 Rose Recognition cards, each written by residents thanking Ben for the difference he makes in their lives.

Ben has been part of the Saint Therese team for more than five years. During that time, he has become a trusted and steady presence for residents.

Father Jon Shelly, who regularly leads chapel services with memory care residents, shared how Ben quietly supports residents so they can participate in chapel and other activities in ways that honor their individual needs and abilities. Through simple words, thoughtful gestures, and a calm presence, Ben helps residents feel comfortable, welcomed, and respected.

The dozens of Rose Recognition cards tell the story best. Through everyday acts of kindness, Ben shows what living the Saint Therese Way looks like in action.

Thank you, Ben, for the difference you make.

A Saint Therese of Oxbow Lake staffer is earning recognition for bringing joy to residents through music and service. A Brooklyn Park “singing server” was recently honored as a regional Caregiver of the Year for the connections he creates with residents each day.

March is National Social Work Month, a time to recognize the compassion, expertise, and dedication social workers bring to the people they serve.

At Saint Therese senior communities, social workers support residents and families through important life transitions, offering guidance, advocacy, and a listening ear. Their work helps ensure every person feels respected, understood, and supported.

Saint Therese of Woodbury recently received a thoughtful gift that will bring comfort to residents and families during some of life’s most tender moments.

Through the generosity of dedicated donors, two hospice comfort carts were donated to support residents and families during end-of-life care.

The carts were handcrafted by Dave Meyer of Meyer and Sons Designs in Hudson, Wisconsin, who generously donated his time and expertise to build them. Designed to be both practical and discreet, the carts provide helpful supplies and comfort items for families when a resident is nearing end of life.

We are deeply grateful for the generosity that made this meaningful gift possible.

Saint Therese of Woodbury celebrated its 10-year anniversary yesterday in fine fashion, with a full slate of activities throughout the day. The celebration began with donuts and coffee in the morning and continued with a cake and champagne reception in the afternoon honoring the 31 residents who moved in when the community first opened. We call them the Pioneers, and they still call this community home today.

We also recognized 12 Saint Therese and Ascend Rehabilitation employees who have been with us since the beginning, marking 10 years of service.

The festivities continued with a ribbon cutting alongside the Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce, followed by a music performance and a special dinner in the evening. It was a very special day!

Big news for Saint Therese.

Last night, the Corcoran City Council has approved an expansion that will add 31 new independent living apartments to our Saint Therese of Corcoran community. Demand has been strong since opening, and we are grateful for the continued growth and support.

Groundbreaking is expected this summer. We look forward to sharing more as plans move forward.

When you think of a caregiver, you might picture a nurse or aide. But caregiving kinda looks different at Saint Therese of Oxbow Lake in Brooklyn Park.

Lino Anunciacion, Lead Food Server, was named a 2026 Caregiver of the Year by LeadingAge Minnesota for the way he brings dignity, joy and connection to residents every day.

That description stuck with me. But the more I’ve gotten to know Lino, the more I’ve realized something important: he’s not “just” a waiter. He’s not even “just” a server.
